Yep, I got it to work. And I could even recreate a nunchuk multisig as watch-only in Specter.
I’m planning to launch my app fully centralized but will use it as a playground to integrate some cool features. Most users won’t even appreciate them because we’re talking about mass market here.
I just learned about Ark and I’m not here to fix it.
To know all the truth is to be truth itself, to be God.
Ok, so I fucked around and found out: you can run Bitcoin Core + Specter on your server, create a watch-only wallet by importing your xpub and use that to derive new addresses as needed.
I think there’s a much simpler setup (xpub-tool, for example) but I couldn’t make derive the same addresses as my Nunchuk wallet. Tinkered with derivation paths to no avail.

They turn to garbage quickly. Only fresh from the fryer!

There’s nothing wrong with force. No need to worship it, of course. But force is a useful tool.
When you’re new to conspiracies and you have a podcast to grow, you get to this point. Understandable.
She went vegan or something?
Say, I have a nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2shaefxp wallet. And I want to run a watch-only version of it on my server to generate HD addresses for incoming payments or to assign to users.
How would I go about this in the simplest manner possible?

I think something about not being compatible with HD derivation paths that most other wallets use.
People shit on Electrum but it’s the only wallet I can run on a server as a daemon + have a GUI version on my laptop and on a phone. And one of them can be watch-only.
Besides API-based centralized solutions, there aren’t many self-hosted options for businesses.
There’s Cyphernode but I’m afraid to touch it because I’m not so experienced.
To have zero corruption all souls residing on this planet must be pure. Good luck with that.
Sure, people should do them but expecting them all to branch off from their countries and become sovereign is a bit too much. Private cities and gated communities already exist and can be improved upon.
I say this as someone who used to have a podcast dedicated to building tens of thousands of citadels around the world.
Damn, this makes me want to finish my app myself (with AI) instead of hiring a Pakistani developer. Maybe I got too tired and somewhat gave up. I’ll revise my decision.
