I had a similar idea, but it would have no authority except as an arbitrator between voluntary parties. Still, there's a lot you can do with that, and it's power scales with adoption.

But also he's right about replacing the judicial system, that really shouldn't be the focus. You need to do what you can with what you have. Make it useful even at the smallest scale.

If Zelensky was disrespectful it's because he doesn't want peace, and he keeps saying he doesn't want peace. It was the courteous thing to have him to the White House at all, give him a chance.

If I were president I'd offer his head to Putin in exchange for some concession, no matter how minor the concession. Win win for everyone all around.

This is all pretty dramatic, I think you can just lower your time preference. I don't care about the price now, I'm thinking about the price in 10-20 years. I'm only grateful to build my stack at a little bit of a discount for now.

Talking to a friend today about how society should care for the poor. I said that we could do more good by deploying resources more efficiently. I said we should deploy large communal buildings with lots of plain bedrooms that lock from the inside. And anyone can just go there, use communal facilities, get a basic meal.

This made me think of #Bitcoin in two ways. I thought about how honest sound money will end the illusion of infinite free resources. Under a Bitcoin standard, waste matters.

It also made me think about Bitcoiners. I think Bitcoiners are overall kind and intelligent people, who will one day build the hyper-efficient homeless buildings, once they inherit the future. I don't think we'll let anybody starve if we can help it.

Is it feasible to make a closed loop solar/mining system with automatic on/off for some miners depending on battery level? So if the battery bank gets down to 40% I'd like to shut down half my miners, then under 20% shut the rest down. Then the sun comes back out Id like to turn those miners back on in phases. I may even have extra miners that turn on when batteries get over 80%. Is this possible?
