We'll never get anywhere listening to tinyhat Shapiro.

Even if they somehow bought most of the world's Bitcoin, it wouldn't represent any growth in power or influence vs what they already have in the current system. Right now they have us using their slave money that they print out of thin air. At least with Bitcoin they couldn't keep making more by devaluing everyone else's money.
Sure, it just takes more users. But just like "content creators" now, only a few are going to actually be that. 99.9% of us will make our sats some other way.
The relays wouldn't relay other people's websites, just their locations. So it would be kinda like a decentralized DNS.
Is there a way to register a legacy webpage on #nostr ?
#askNostr
For example I register my webpage by injecting some #nostr code in #html header ..and then embed the same code in a new #nostr event ..
Why ?
Once I register my page on nostr - it snapshots the url ( not content ) .. and then any comments on nostr may reflect on my legacy website !

This appears to be an alternative approch to nostrify legacy content .. some of the benefits..
- websites can stay whereever they are ..no need to migrate content to nostr and unnecessarily fill up relays .
- websites can benefit from. Key nostr features - social interactions and #zaps
- websites can offer nostr log in .. such that any comment on website , automatically reflect in nostr clients ..
How about a Nostr NIP for website? And you can have your "relay" serve that website as it's only event. So your relay (server) keeps your website and a list of other websites and their last known addresses. And a specialized Nostr client (web browser) just looks it up on the relays, finds your relay address, and gets your website.
Any reason this can't work?
The Israeli Air Force has just carried out an unusual precision-airstrike on a high-rise apartment building in the Dahieh suburb of southern Beirut, without an evacuation warning, resulting in the near total collapse of the building. According to a joint statement moments ago from the Israel Defense Force and Shin Bet, the strike targeted a senior Hezbollah terrorist who recently directed Hamas operatives and assisted them in planning a significant and imminent terror attack against Israeli civilians, with the decision being made to eliminate him and remove the threat.

Just remember when the other side starts blowing up apartment buildings full of civilians because some IDF commander was in there, we don't get to call it "terrorism".
Looks to me like israel just keeps digging their own grave, and I hope we stop defending them.
Somehow, they are being influenced to provide an excuse for war. Nobody "preemptively strikes" US/israel, when has that ever worked out for anybody. It never works. That's why nobody does it, and that's why the US/israel often end up having to attack themselves when they want war.
People are also buying at 83k. People are always buying and selling at any price, that's how the price comes to be.
"Tech savvy" is a relative term. Not long ago people had never seen an automobile, now look at us.
Because I'm sick of hearing "They're a private company and they don't have to respect free speech rights."
If I could I'd have those anti-American CEOs impaled. But since I can't do that yet I guess I'll just use Nostr.
someone just inscribed this 3.7MB #bitcoin music track via slipstream 🔊
was it worth the $2,306 fee? #asknostr

Worth it to him, apparently. Not my taste of music though, I made it about 10 seconds.
They probably work in fiat mines and get paid in the stuff.
If you ever wish you were younger, imagine you're 90 and being given a second chance from where you are.
Imagine where you want your life to be in the future, and work backwards from the future to now. What milestones are between the future you want and where you are now? Put yourself on the right trajectory for where you want to be.
I'm 100% sure it wasn't her in this case. The only person I know to blame is me. 🤷♂️
Someone is able to see more than that from the WhatsApp chat. I sent a picture of my Bitcoin keys to a girlfriend in case I die, and someone stole it. It wasn't her, she doesn't know how and she didn't show it to anyone.
Doesn't make sense to me. If you don't like tariffs, sovereign unstealable money should be your best friend.
Anybody use 0xchat?
