i just wrote the most hilarious op-ed

never too old to color ☺️

lol I'm aware. If I actually wanted to be smart I would move to Cape Town. But money isn't everything to me - I want to be close to people I love.

ok but what should i eat for lunch

Personally, I am open to leaving the city. I like being by the ocean.

The only things I would miss from your list are restaurants and close airports.

The argument against me leaving is that buying a home/land somewhere new and living alone with no friends around feels sketch. If I was a guy, I probably would do that. As a woman, idk about that.

*Manhattan - but agreed. i have lived here for 7 years and i haven't ever been able to live alone yet.

this is at the very end of my budget. very end

That's a decent price for a studio. The hard thing is: quality of life, sunlight, location, and affordability IMO

this what i think about all. the. time. my other thought process is to go live in Hawaii or Florida.

mostly all my friends lives in New York. so would basically be starting fresh and being super isolated.

Kinda crazy how expensive it is to live alone in New York. I feel like I can barely afford to do it. Went to check out this 1 bedroom today. Tenant still there obvi. And it's $6,750/mo w 15% brokers fee. 🙃

But the only space that's I've seen that feels liveable enough for one's mental health.

Gonna apply anyway 😬🤞🏼
