I was disappointed when I realized it was Friday this morning and not Saturday, but I am pumped for a 3 day weekend.

I wonder how much "we've always done it this way" thinking is because people don't know why or how something works, they only know that it works (or worked at some point previously).
Things I think about when I think about how ridiculous it is that I'm a telecom tech that doesn't know anything about computers or networking. Pretty much my whole job is doing what I know works, without having a clue of how or why.

In my early 20s I was driving through a forest admiring the trees and I realized that if I planted a tree that day I would not live to see it at maturity. My eyes glassed up a bit. Now in my early 30s and my 3 kids give me a reason to plant trees in whose shade I may never enjoy.
