What feature should I add to Gossip (or Chorus) next?

I find 2001 to be practically a concordance for everything. Where it uses other than mainstream translation it has links to well written explanations for how and why. The only things (so far) that I "do not" like are the use of concatenation for "do not" as don't, or "can not" as can't, and pretty much everything is a concatination. Also I don't like that it swaps todays measures for the words used when written.

It also does not have the feel that it was translated with Gods spirit and power, but rather with educated reasoning of men who study language. Still, it's a useful tool.

Many of the linked written expanations delve into why some words are avoided becuause they propetuate tradition that has nothing to do with scripture. Example is as you point out above, the word church is better translated as 'congregation' in english.

I do not advocate for this translation because I have not spent a lot of time with it and it does have some flaws, but it has some very big positives.

I’ve been a professional firefighter in California for 20 years. Currently I oversee a vegetation management program to reduce fire risk to communities.

We have money, resources and are ready to work. The Environmental regulations however take years to navigate and comply with and consume a large portion of the funds available for this work. California’s entire fire problem is a direct result of foolish policies.

It goes back to the USFS suppressing naturally occurring fire for over100 years resulting in excessive fuels in our wild lands.

Now the State of California is tying the hands of local communities in repairing the damage through nonsensical environmental regulations that prioritize red legged frogs or “spotted owl habitat” that hasn’t seen a spotted owl since the 80’s over human lives and property.

The government will blame everything and everyone except their own policies which are the real culprit.

The incentives are so screwed up that no one is really interested in actually fixing the issue because everyone is grifting off the system. Fires are big money for both Private contractors and government employees as is environmental compliance consulting.

You know why you feel that the world is stupid and thousands of evils are allowed to be done to men and women by governments, for example:

- Illegal immigration

- Crimes committed by immigrants

- Abusive taxes

- Lack of job opportunities

- Inaccessible housing

- Lack of freedoms

Because most people need a leader, they are not able to think for themselves, and you will have to accept this or you will go crazy, if you want things to change, someone will have to step forward.

We could say that the distribution is:

1% - Lone wolves, they understand what is there, they are critical thinking people, but they are not going to step forward for various reasons.

99% - They are simply sheep, they do what the government says, if the government says that there is a false pandemic then there is a false pandemic and they get vaccinated, if the government says that we have to attack a country thousands of kilometers away then we attack it and support it.

0.000001% - The leader who wants to change the world for the better.

Throughout history there have been great leaders like Jesus Christ himself, or Martin Luther King Jr, but now unfortunately we have no reference.
