Great news nostr:note1kp0zcxucew978k349famgelaudzh8mnpgemykxr9tuawglt2x9vqe9hrly

Is this stated anywhere from ACINQ or reliable source? I’m interested to see if lightning channels will be closed/blocked by IP address by ACINQ.

I didn’t catch that part. Even still, I’d be very surprised if I couldn’t redownload from the Apple App Store after then. To Apples credit, once you “buy” (even if free) an app from the store you can redownload. Even if the app is later determined to violate Apple Store guidelines.

I’ll be interested to see what ACINQ does with Phoenix in app. If they block by IP address by geolocation.

I haven’t use Phoenix Wallet much, but it seems like their “exit” from the US market right now is just removing new app downloads from the Apple and Google apps stores.

I deleted the Phoenix app from my phone and I was able to download in the US via App Store (because I’ve downloaded it before). I’m not really interested actually spending sats opening a channel, but nothing indicates in the UI that it wouldn’t work (unlike WoS, you can’t receive at all).

This seems like the softest “exit” possible. I guess time will tell.

Third year catching tadpoles in a nearby mud pond and putting them in our tiny backyard pond. These suckers grow like crazy and eat up the algae in the pond. Water ends up being so clear.

Might actually get a decent pickings of blueberries this year.

Occasionally slow and highish fees for small zaps. But I can’t remember any recent failures.

I prefer using a red letter bible to explicitly show that these are words spoken by Jesus. I love these 3 chapters.

Last bitcoin meetup I setup 2 individuals with nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg. They got to experience their first lightning send and receive ever. Only hiccup was someone else tried to send to Mutiny from Strike (which doesn’t currently work because of some LND bug?).

I love buying everyday things with bitcoin. nostr:npub172mu27r5yny0nnmvgjqwhx055dmsesrrx7j0p5d3pxagfx6xgxfsv75p3q sells great tasting Maple syrup at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend.

What else should I buy with bitcoin?

I figured it’d be claimed by some bot. Was a fast way to test a spent from the mint. Was gone in under 2 seconds.

I have not looked into BBQr very closely. I glanced at it months ago and remember liking some parts of the spec but not others (can't remember the details). Do any wallet coordinators support BBQr? BCUR is obviously the popular adopted standard for animated QRs and the main issues I experienced with BCUR is how complicated it was to implement and wasteful space in the QR contents (like checksums and long prefixes).

My statement about “not being easy” isn’t an excuse about security. I was stating that finding more open hardware and then building on it is not easy when the SeedSigner project is made of volunteers who occasionally get direct donations and small grants (via HRF).

I respect the hustle and products coinkite sells. I use a cold card in my own multisig setup. Multi vendor multi sig is 🚀

Much of your past rhetoric directed at the SeedSigner project makes it hard to believe you have respect for any of the contributors. You and I probably have more we agree on than we disagree about. However IMO the SeedSigner project makes practical trade offs that add values in helping Bitcoiners secure their saving.

It’s not a secret the raspberry pi zero bootloader is closed source. I wish it was open source. Multiple contributors to the SeedSigner project have been working on adding support for other hardware (that are more open source). As you know, it’s not easy.
