What is the investment thesis of someone who buys Nvidia today for the long term? Maybe: "AI is gonna keep growing. NVD remains GPU king & also becomes LLM ASIC king." .. alright, but that seems like such a limited & uncertain path forward compared to #Bitcoin , right?

Today, Bitcoin sits at 1,3 trillion marketcap, which puts it at around the 9th largest asset in the world.

However, as Bitcoin is base money it's maybe more sensible to compare it to the monetary base of countries. I've found different information on the UK's monetary base but Bitcoin is prbly somewhere in that range. So it took ca. 15 years to reach the former world reserve currency.

It seems highly likely that #Bitcoin is simply going to keep on monetising, eating into the monetary premium of gold, securities, bonds & real estate. The TAM is soo gigantic & the path forward soo obvious that its superiority over NVD as a long term investment seems obvious.

People's desire to be the beneficiaries of seniorage is not a 'flaw that recently emerged'. Existed since the beginning of humanity (or at least coinage). What's emerging is the individual understanding that there is an infinite amount of Shitcoins but only 21 million #Bitcoin.

Exactly, and in regards to home mining in a hot country with your own photovoltaic cooling seems to be even more important than heating, right?

Are there concepts for using the heat of a miner to cool a room? Cooling systems usually work with a compressor pump and a refrigerant, right? Maybe absorption chillers could be used in such a system but do these things exist in small?

It's pretty obvious that the world is searching for a neutral reserve currency that can be held self-sovereign & is convenient to settle international trade. Gold fails at the latter .. really wonder whether sth like that exists ..

Regardless whether one considers such confiscations right or wrong. Any person, institution or nation state can recognises that holding someone's liabilities as your savings introduces counterparty risk.

4. Gaslighting: 3. must not be aknowledged. Burgers costing 50x more than 50 years ago is not due to money printing but the current thing. Common sense & intuitve reasoning (brrr -> price inflation) must be countered by confusing people with technicalities of the monetary system.

I've got a (noobish) question. What happens to a transaction that's sent from Bisq but not confirmed due to a too low fee? Happened to me a few months ago. If I think the affiliated address was removed from my 'Send Funds List'. I guess if I were to setup my entire bisq application again, importing my seed, the balance/utxo would show up again, right? But is there an easier way?

Or run run one's own relay but only for one's own content (so it doesn't need to be that gigantic) 🤔

How did u post a 6 min video on nostr? Tried uploading a 30 sec clip and it keeps failing. Do u use a paid relay for storing your videos?

I would want everyone to be able to see a post. Not just subscribers .. which would probably be the case with a private relay, right? But as file storage is expensive I reckon having paid for relays will become quite common especially for video creators.
