Good morning… that TikTok vid I made about #Nostr is popping off, but riddle me this: why do people keep jumping in my comments claiming Nostr was made by the CIA? 🤨 it just doesn’t seem controllable enough for those folks.

I didn't say to use my app. I said to build your own. Only then can you know the CIA isn't involved.
Let me add that except for DMs (which probably shouldn't be part of nostr), nostr isn't about secrecy. It doesn't matter if the CIA is involved. As long as your notes get out there. The point is to be public and not be censored, not to be private. If you want privacy you need a different tool.

How did u post a 6 min video on nostr? Tried uploading a 30 sec clip and it keeps failing. Do u use a paid relay for storing your videos?
I posted it to TikTok and put the link here. From what I understand only certain clients allow direct video upload (like flare.pub?) - I’m still new here 😄
I paid for personal storage on nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 so I can upload videos myself.
https://nostr.build/ is good site for uploading videos and you can buy more space for your uploads if you need that sort of thing
Then just copy a link and use in any client. Primal has good video upload integrated in the client, but dont know whats the limit
Direct upload can be easily done from clients like #Damus or #Amethyst and generally they use nostr.build as source to upload the video and give you a link to put on the note.
Nostr.build acct removes video size limits. We are integrated with most clients also.
