Every once in awhile those in power take their masks off and show the world who they really are. Representative Brad Sherman from California did just that today when he admitted that the US government prints money "out of thin air".

Gotta hand it to Brad Sherman: he's probably one of the most honest politicians in office today
I can concede to that, honestly. I have faced STARK ignorance from nocoiners recently and that has convinced me that not everyone is gonna make it, and sharing a community with people who are willfully ignorant like nocoiners can be a costly liability. I still don't think that promoting strong communities is socialistic, but there's a line to be crossed
That's a good point, I've seen the damage that a clout-chasing lifestyle can cause to oneself and others. There's definitely a balance to be struck. I certainly wouldn't jump off a bridge if my community told me to lol

#bitcoin fixes atomization, which is a divide-and-conquer tactic. This "lone cowboy" trope you're latching onto is a fantasy that's a part of that. You can't get far alone.
Individualism is unsustainable by itself
This destroys the miner fee/security budget FUD, and this isn't even the first time
No need to simp like this on a bitcoin standard, that's for sure
Here's the thing--they think bitcoiners are brainwashed, so they avoid getting informed. All I can do is pray for the haters
I love #[2], too
When it comes to Bitcoin, people have said to me "that won't work without government regulation" or "house always wins so why bother"...unfortunately this is a lesson that many have to learn the hard way.
Why not both?
I found a local meetup with OPA, so I'm grateful. It's like Bitcoin Tinder
Bitcoin Magazine held their Ordinal Inscription auction yesterday. Issue #1 is currently listed for 69 BTC. Issue #2 is currently listed for 100 BTC. 😆😆😆

I honestly hope the people that bought these for 1.25 BTC and 0.75 BTC are *never* able to sell them at any price.
oof that's too much
I like the practical aspect of ordinals, not speculative games like these
Odell put it best on last week's Rabbit Hole Recap: it's statist bitcoiner hopium. BTC and USD have incentive structures that are diametrically opposed to each other, lending no room for reconciliation. I think it's also possible that people who say that "BTC and USD can coexist" are warding off fiat earthers who will ostracize them or worse
