Ok, primal totally dropped the ball. I am not against some (Voluntary) feed curating, but the way they did things was unacceptable.

But overall, I guess Nostr is overall dealing well with it. People will move their clients and tools for safer environments. Primal will not die for that alone, but people themselves will punish through the "vote with your feet" mentality.

Eventually there will be more concorrence and options for people and developers

I sincerely don't think Nostr should benchmark itself against X. Similarities apart the Meta ecosystem is much larger and even less free. The biggest Nostr opportunity is to wait Zuckerberg and its plataforms to slip with its users (and they will).

Overall, just keep enhancing the usability and features/apps. Doing it, time will do the rest by itself.

Sincere question: What do you believe it would be the long term consequences of legalizing crack/cocaine and heavy opioids like fentanyl? I mean, though government policies are usually disastrous, would complete legalization be an "optimal point" for the issue?

I think 2 reasonable issues in the future will be:

1- Economic incentives for storage in relays (specially images and videos), eventually several relays will be paid (though cheaply, still an entry barrier)

2- Spamming and widely considered undesirable content being sent. (Platforms and local apps might need to create some basic AI for enhancing UX)

But I do think both of those issues are able to be reasonably solved 😉
