Rents can’t just go up forever like the ops parroted during peak zirp fomo. Rent is tied to income. Salaries are not keeping up with inflation. Good jobs are getting eliminated, bad jobs are increasing. These RE gurus needed to take economics 101.
I was looking at prior Zillow saved houses that were trying to rent for $5k-$10k during peak fomo, none of them rented lmao. They never thought who their customer would be. There is a sweet spot for rental properties. Those with that much disposable income are not going to be paying their mortgages. So they either sold already or are off market. When everyone has the same idea, “I can just rent it out,” there is no opportunity. Ppl are broke broke
The rise of the millionaire renter class will only grow from here. Owning RE is the biggest opportunity cost any bitcoiner can make in terms of their btc bag. Look at the telegram ceo, worth over $100m, still rents. He values freedom over all. That’s the real goal here.
You can never really own real estate, the state does. If you don’t pay your property taxes, they take it away with force. The serfs can’t afford to buy with cash, so they in addition pay the banks interest. Yes, you have to live somewhere, as the ops parrot, but you don’t have to hold the bag. Let the boomers hold it.
