As a #plebdad of 4, I don’t have a lot of money to invest into btc, I do what I can here and there, after bills are paid and the fridge is full. My wife and I work really hard to give our kids a comfortable life. Playing sports, doing band, and all their other extracurricular activities. As well as doing fun things as a family.

With that said, priorities taken care of, I am happy to say that I have finally locked up 1mil sats, my first goal as a new #plebchain member. Next goal is to get to 2mil. I know it’s not much, and I know some of you will look at 1mil and laugh at it, but it’s an achievement for me. I will continue to stack sats, slowly but surely, but the fam comes first.

Homemade Eggshell Plant Fertilizer

The next time you crack a few eggs to make breakfast or a baked good, don't toss away the shells. If you garden, the nutrients found in eggshells provide a decent and inexpensive source of fertilizer for your plants. Unlike synthetic fertilizers, when you use eggshells in your garden, you do not have to worry about going overboard. Keep in mind that eggshells alone won't provide adequate nutrition for plants.

Nutritional Analysis

Eggshells are primarily made out of calcium carbonate, which is the ingredient found in agricultural lime, according to the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, Tenn. Jeff Gillman, author of "The Truth About Garden Remedies," did his own small test to determine the nutritional properties of eggshells. He steeped a shell in water for 24 hours and then sent the water to the lab. The lab results found that the eggshell-infused water contained 4 mg of calcium and potassium, as well as very small amounts of phosphorus, magnesium and sodium.

Steeping Shells

Make an eggshell fertilizer tea to use in your garden. Boil a gallon of water, and then add 10 clean and dry eggshells to it. For a stronger brew, add the shells of up to 20 eggs. Let the shells sit in the water overnight, and then strain the water. Pour the concentrate directly onto the soil to give plants a boost of calcium and potassium. Gillman recommends doing this once a week, though how often you have eggshells depends on your family's egg-eating habits.

Crushing Shells

Instead of making a tea, you can crush eggshells and add them directly to the soil in your garden. Collect shells throughout the winter so that you have an adequate supply at planting time. Wash and dry the shells to remove any egg residue. Place the shells into a food processor and process until a powder forms. Wear a dust mask when crushing the eggshells so that you don't breathe in the eggshell dust. Stir the powdered shells into the soil or potting mix just before planting. Gillman suggests using five shells per plant. You can also sprinkle a handful of shells into the planting hole before you set a plant root ball in it.

Benefits

Plants need calcium to thrive. Calcium helps the plants develop a strong cellular structure. Calcium deficiency is visible in young plants, because the leaves are twisted or have black spots, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The plant's overall growth is stunted too. In fruiting plants, such as tomatoes, a lack of calcium is evident when the fruits develop blossom end rot, or a thin, dark spot on the bottom of the fruit. An additional benefit of eggshells in the garden is that larger shell pieces help deter slugs. The sharp edges of the shells irritate the soft bodies of the slugs.

Real estate prices in Ontario are holding up quite well considering high rates. Demand is actually fairly robust.

It will be interesting to see if this continues, as prices have skyrocketed in the last decade and many have called for a crash due to higher mortgage rates.

Debasement kills the working class and in the absence of a dollar that holds its value over time, assets are monetized beyond their utility value. This creates a wealth gap between asset owners and labourers working paycheque to paycheque.

If real estate prices hold or turn up it would be a very strong signal that Bitcoin adoption will accelerate amongst those who’ve feel left behind.
