yes, we can and have been talking about the tradeoffs

I misinterpreted your statement and thought you meant you would get back to me later with info

I apologize if saying "I look forward to your report" offended you, I didn't mean to

I think you might have misread my post

I can see all monero transactions but some parts of them are encrypted, which is good

I am wonder if yall can see *any* lightning transactions -- even just one

your "explanation" was basically "well bisq isn't very big yet so they aren't at risk"

which is, at least in my opinion, a very silly thing to say

you have to start using good privacy when you're small so that it protects you when you grow big

hence tor + LN

My friend, you have successfully confused a lightning invoice for a transaction

A lightning invoice is like the LN equivalent of this: monero:46BeWrHpwXmHDpDEUmZBWZfoQpdc6HaERCNmx1pEYL2rAcuwufPN9rXHHtyUA4QVy66qeFQkn6sfK8aHYjA3jk3o1Bv16em?tx_amount=239.39014&tx_description=donation

It tells you a pubkey but that is only used for communication, it does not receive money

That stealth address technology really is a wonderful piece of privacy tech and I cannot use it to find any of the xmr transactions you've made in the last month

You win your challenge, now win mine!

Nice try but those are zap receipts, not LN transactions:

Day 3 of asking monero people to just *show me* an LN transaction so I can see what info they can glean from it

Can you see what channel or address *sent* the money? Can you see what channel or address *received* it? Can you see the *amount sent*? Can you see the *fee paid*?

So far they can't even *show me* a transaction on LN -- let alone any information from it

Calling nostr:nprofile1qqs0npwnpyvheqz7zuvuwvv9k460c0hyqlturds40hhfn34vufvehwcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkchsknr3 and nostr:nprofile1qqs27aqdrx96hwx8hqks53ccav65hvlk47dfscumsh22tncnw89t4pgpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dslku2wh -- maybe yall can help?

it puts "use tor" as an example of the gymnastics you have to do to gain financial privacy if you don't use monero

of course, if you're not using tor on monero, it's a lot easier for sybils to collect your ip address and link them to your transactions

Dandelion helps prevent this too, but it's much better with tor

I will say, I'm not surprised the XMR people put "use tor" as a non-monero thing

Monero isn't made to integrate with Tor according to its github

https://yakihonne.com/notes/nevent1qgszrqlfgavys8g0zf8mmy79dn92ghn723wwawx49py0nqjn7jtmjagqypgmc7zgefsgx0uc9ujuhnpwf4tjxgx2zy8unf2hk69z2x7d3nls2y8ef6j

Interesting comparison from the githubs for monero and LND:

"Monero isn't made to integrate with Tor"

"lnd currently has complete support for using Lightning over Tor"

Yes, these ones have:

- Phoenix

- Zeus

- CoinOS

- Strike

Yes, I am doing a workshop called "Build Your Own Coinpool, No Forks Required"

It is essentially a how-to for this software. I plan to do a demo that showcases *something like* what I envision as an ideal user experience (or at least plant a seed -- I'm terrible at UX), and then -- God willing -- we will build the core functionality from scratch.

My hope is that people who work on LN wallets will send their devs to learn how to do this so they can integrate something similar for their users.

I didn't link a clearnet site, you did

and instead of quibbling over the definition of DNM, why don't you address the point? Bisq & robosats face the exact same risks as other DNMs but lightning protects them from getting caught

Why do they rely on LN if its privacy is as bad as you claim?
