lol, lightning sucks so much
drivechains
it's more like a boat you love but contantly needs repairs and attention and all your friends and family feel sorry for you
lmao at "I'm not your bruh, guy"
well, I'm not your guy, buddy
no but if PoW was part of its strategy it was doomed from the start
here's some history for you, since you think i'm being facetious
https://wiki.bitmessage.org/index.php/Main_Page
I wonder why this was frozen in time at 2016...
bruh it's just a bad argument. 99.99% of open source projects fail for one reason or another. it's dumb to claim that the reason bitmessage didn't take off was because it used pow that wasn't Bitcoin.
Have you actually read the history of getwired.app ?
but mleku. it is used for antispam in lots of places. i don't understand how you deny this
ok, here's one reason
It's false because pow is used, successfully, in lots of projects that are not Bitcoin.
That's a bad argument.
Let's say that you wanted to advertise on the top of powrelay.xyz/explore then you would need to add pow to your ad. It doesn't matter that mining Bitcoin is a better use of pow, you need the pow to post. So you will do the pow, but only if the value you get from the ad is greater than the Bitcoin you could make by mining.
(this is hypothetical, a Bitcoin asic cannot mine nostr pow)
pls explain this, seems obviously false to me
I promise to pay attention
Mostr bridge now supports setting a lightning bolt emoji ⚡ on your profile to enable zaps. Previously it was the text "lud16". That is now considered deprecated. The bolt supports both internet identifiers and LNURLs: https://gitlab.com/soapbox-pub/mostr/-/merge_requests/80/diffs

fediverse has zaps now?!
they still don't have pow, ngmi
lmao
hmm, I guess it's possible.
The website says there have been a million total uploads to nostr.build (I would've guessed more), so then the chances that this hash is random become closer to one in a billion.
