Passionate about software development and world issues.

There should be no harm in using Next even if you are building something strictly front end. The workflow is practically identical to a create-react-app project if you use the Pages directory (which I recommend over the new App directory for your case). If anything, you'll benefit from server side rendering!

If you are looking to minimize bundle size as much as possible, however, Preact-vite or Preact-astro should be good as mentioned before. It's a 3kb version of React, so there's nothing more to learn to use it :)

I've never seen your cat befoee but I am shattered to hear this. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your cat is beautiful.

In a way, it makes you think less, which is a good thing. Javascript adds cognitive load by requiring you to be aware of the types you are working with.

I did, but don't feel much difference from the previous release other than a visual upgrade. The blog doesn't seem like I'm missing anything either.

Next, Remix are the two highly recommended alternatives. But if you're trying to go light, Vite (as you mentioned) or even Preact is a good option as well.

Johnson&Johnson is deliberately trying to make TB drugs less accessible by patenting what is mostly publicly funded research because they have a hard time going to bed knowing they aren't making money off of others' work and suffering.

Alright, fine. I made a lightning wallet too.

The nation, unfortunately. In a world where information is more powerful than a hydrogen bomb, nations with private interactions will have much more data about their opponents than an open government.

One may argue an open government would enable more active participation from more people of the nation. This may be true, but as #AI advances, individuals will have more processing power and potentially overshadow democratic, open interactions.

I see! Seems like I need to make a lightning wallet. I'm not interested in participating in deFi at the moment, so I'll probably leave it be. I can see this being a hurdle for a more general audience.

I've checked out the web clients recommended on nostr.com/clients. The following is a critical review of them; I do not mean to attack any and appreciate all the work put into them.

#Coracle is my choice so far as it's the only web client with a tag/topic aggregated view. However, it has limited topics to choose from, preventing me to follow tags like #web, #dev, etc. Its UI is my least favorite.

#Iris has a better UI and I would choose it over Coracle if it could fetch any of my posts/notes. Thanks for the free NIP-05 URL, though.

#Snort doesn't seem to handle profile settings separately, which is odd since it supports NIP-02.

#Primal looks great, but I don't even know how to log in, lol. As far as I understand, there isn't one and I'm supposed to deploy my own site with my private key.

None of the ones I checked out provide blocking users or tags and lack many features that #Amethyst has.

Again, the developers have done amazing work on these clients. This post would be way too long if I were to go over the praises I'd give each of them. And, of course, there may be better alternatives I'm unaware of. I would be happy to try more clients.

test note from snort

After checking out all the web clients for Nostr, it seems like my next project may be to make a better one.

Elon musk is shocked that the employees he fired out of Twitter was hired somewhere else to do similar work... Increidble.
