Been working on a little project for the chicken run. Our chicken run is pretty large, with a coop inside it. The chickens have mostly made the large run area pretty bare of grass, etc. I made a rudimentary, very small box, with cedar posts and chicken wire, filled it with compost, then threw some daikon radish seeds in it. From that test box, i've been harvesting some nice sprouts for the chickens. The plan is to move the box around within the run after the sprouts are done, let the chickens pick through the pile, and start a new pile. The test worked well, and i have built 2 larger boxes for this purpose. This will eventually improve the soil in the run, plus give the chickens fresh sprouts. #grownostr #chickens #homesteading #countrylife #permies

Since your online identity is valuable and tied to your nsec and given the fact that many clients have potential access to them, it is almost guaranteed that your nsec will be leaked at some point.

Hardware signing devices are too cumbersome though so we need some mechanism to switch to a new nsec when the old one gets eventually compromised.

Are there already solutions being worked on that I am not aware of?

Personally, Im in the 2nd camp: show translation only and tap to show original. Having 2 texts side by side throws off the scroll flow for me and I tend to skip those notes often as a habit.

Young food forest producing hundreds of pounds of food

This is a 1/10acre food forest. It is 6 years old, and just starting to come into production. Last season it produced hundreds of pounds of food without buying any inputs. Potatoes, squash, garlic, strawberry, raspberry, gooseberry, currant, rhubarb, horseradish, hazelnut, peaches, and apples. All the weeds/prunings feed rabbits which yeild protein. At 6 years old, the production is just starting to come on. Once the system is mature it will produce much much more.
