I don’t drink a lot of stouts, but I’m trying this 11% bourbon barrel aged stout I’ve been saving since Christmas #beerstr

I just tripled rendered 3.5 lbs of tallow from some suet my rancher gave me. It has a slight gold hue to it and does not have a strong “beef smell”. I used a wet rendering method with Redmond real salt. A comparable amount of tallow from epic (on Amazon) would set me back about 240k sats.

First up I need an entry level smoker to practice with. Was looking at an electric one that you can control the heat level with, but I’m sure charcoal is cheaper and will have better taste.

Thanks, it was my first attempt doing a brisket like that. Definitely easier than using my Weber as a smoker. A real smoker is on my list though.
