Lmfao. Yes I've tried them. I've tried a few brands, some are better than othersπ―, but they do taste terrible. You can also find them in pill form which makes it easy. Or drink butter coffee with MCT oil but i don't suggest that usually off the top bc it can give you intense mud butt. When I was getting into the keto diet i experimented with a few different things. And took a deep dive into physiology.
My father gets gout every once in a while and drinking the exogenous ketones stops the pain. Genetics play a role but so does eating inflammatory foods and drinking certain alcohols.
I suggested the exogenous ketones bc if your not already metabolically flexible and or used to fasting it will take a week or more to get into a deep ketosis with high levels of endogenous ketones. Also the exogenous ketones can be used to minimize the impact of the keto flu or as an energy booster for exercise or focus. It's s way to cheat your way into having the anti-inflammatory effect of ketones or to pump those ketone levels when already in ketosis.
Dietary ketosis is my favorite metabolic state π―.
