This only goes to 2021 but shows levels have varied historically and been much higher than the current CWFIS National Wildland Fire Sitrep estimate of 5,753 fires this year. Current is much higher than the 10yr average of 1,684 fires (YTD) but this is still lower than many years going back to 1980.

Smash-buying BTC on Swan. Thanks to Elon for his lettuce hands and to the CEO of Bitcoin for the sale price.

Based on how bad Elon is hosing up Twitter (I mean X) he might be having a garage sale soon, too.

One unexpected outcome of going deep down the Bitcoin rabbit hole is that I can no longer stand to watch the news. Once you do the deep dive on Bitcoin and have an understanding of things like the fiat system and the energy grid, the news becomes unbearable because it has been dumbed-down so much for the normies that is it just wrong. Anyone else have this problem?

GM plebs and world-changers

I don't think the importance of this can be overstated. KPMG coming out with a pro-Bitcoin paper is a huge win for Bitcoiners and a huge hit to the "bitcoin is bad for the environment" crowd. Greenpeace and Elizabeth Warren can't be happy.

Such an idiot. Defies words. Doesn't even realize how stupid he sounds. Obviously surrounded by an echo chamber of supporters cheering him on (and keeping him in office).

I've wondered that as well, and if there could be an attack vector if there is a critical mass of nodes running on a certain platform, or not enough "diversification" in the wild?

That is part of the reason I run numerous platforms of nodes, including:

-Umbrel: https://umbrel.com/

-myNode: https://mynodebtc.com/

-Ronin Dojo: https://ronindojo.io/

-Start9: https://start9.com/

-Citadel: https://runcitadel.space/

-Blockstream Blocksat https://blockstream.com/satellite/

-Homebrew node: https://www.ministryofnodes.com.au/ubuntu-node-box-guide-2022

Not only do I do I see it as creating a little variety in the wild, but I then get to try out different technology.
