In 'Freedom Tech', the word 'tech' slipped my attention. But before that, technically, I followed the link in Jack's Twitter profile
'To buy a farm' in military pilot slang means 'to get killed in action'. I'm not sure if this holds true for civilian pilots, as it wouldn't make sense (transition from wartime to peacetime life).
And below is an illustration for the expression used by professional assassins, 'to paint a house’ (imagine what happens next)

Katharina Grosse, "Rockaway!"

"A painting can land anwhere" I butchered that quote probably... still.
Do you know the sayings among pilots 'to buy a farm' and among paid killers 'to paint a house'? Those two quotes also come to mind
It seems like I know much less about Nostr than you do. Honestly, I not only didn't know anything about Satoshi here on Nostr, but I've also only recently learned the name itself without delving into context. My understanding was this: Jack is building Twitter2 (here, the name of another bird comes in handy to confirm this picture), but this time in a decentralized manner.
As for being zapped, I'm still balancing either on the edge where I could be one of the last among those who haven't set up the wallet, or the first among those who won't do that. I simply don't know much about it yet, but what I do know (decentralized money is still money, and just look at what Twitter is turning into as a result) tends to put me in the second category. I'm still unsure...
This is the house that Jack built.
This is the malt that lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the rat that ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the cat - etc
There aren't many places yet for everyone to gather for now. Sadly, it seems that Jack isn't interested in utilizing this potential
Never for $100,000, but could do it for free.
Let's say I am standing on this hill, gripping the bike without brakes, when suddenly I spot a pit bull terrier running straight toward me from the top of the hill.
I might have an explanation for this.
It's even harder for us to accept our own mortality.
I agree.
Any family would likely desire this, but especially in cases involving wild animals, easing their suffering this way seems ineffective and lacking meaning over time. No justice can be achieved here, as no crime was committed; we merely witness the laws of nature at play when disregarded.
Even if it were to help (killing lions), I still believe the lives of lions matter more. It parallels killing humans born with deeply twisted minds, incapable of control, who committed wrong. We do not resort to killing them but isolate and treat them. Lions are already isolated by nature, and anyone who wishes to "treat" a lion should first attempt to turn it into a human being. The boundary / the laws of nature were crossed by a man, not lions. All accepted laws suggest leaving those lions be.
I hope that people around the family can provide them with more comfort.
I see it differently.
A man wanted to die quickly, so he hired three male lions to do the job under the cover of darkness in the Dinokeng Game Reserve, South Africa.
By then, who knows, maybe he hired way more than three lions and not only males – that's what such men usually do – but not all of the lions reported for duty.
Of course, my vote is to leave the poor creatures alone, including those accomplices who didn't show up.
Hey there, are you on Satellite? (I'm the developer) In nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc 's post, "Faces" is the post title (using the NIP-14 "subject" tag under the hood). If some other client is interpreting that as a hashtag I'm not aware of it
Hi, sorry, I mistook it for a hashtag because it was underlined. I am on Satellite (since yesterday) and on Primal. Thank you for the Satellite!!
Then it's probably just a description then. I assumed since it was underlined, it was a hashtag. Sorry. I am using Primal, but Satellite for the communities since yesterday, both desktop versions. Thank you!
Organizational question
I clicked on the hashtag 'Faces,' and it didn't redirect me to everything that was posted on Nostr with this hashtag. Is that how it's supposed to be? If that's the case, do we want it to be this way? Broadcasting directly to the community and overall on Nostrs seems like the better alternative. Could it be changed to be that way?
How does reposting differ from broadcasting? When I repost something, it appears on my timeline. But where does it appear when I broadcast? I am using Primal now
There's a lot of smoke from both cigarettes and guns in the trailer. By the way, this time I would mistake this poster as being American, so I should probably take back my words from yesterday, or at least they should be taken as only a starting point to look further, as there is still distinction in too many things
nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 has asked for this for some time nostr:note17g5t8ud3pxteyktc3ayn8ftd8zc4tq65scn2muecjysv2fggh5nq7r4eey
It's about time to let it be a thing of the past
Whoever wrote smth and made a small graffiti on the wall did try to follow the style of the building.
I am not the person who can answer such a question. I have recently started to pay more attention to design, including posters. And now, while looking at the posters on this channel, I have a feeling that during that time, which was a golden era for cinema, posters were not given much attention. All the magic happened in the movie theater, and the poster only aimed to convey information, not even to spark interest in coming to the cinema because people came anyway - the golden age of cinema. European and American always have something that sets them apart, thus including posters, and so I would necessarily say that in Europe, they were of somehow better quality. To me this difference is more in line with the cultural distinction between America and Europe.
