Agreed - I do think life spans generally get shorter the farther back you go. 40 does seem like old age in some ways - it's the age at which you most likely have seen everything and what comes after is more of the same.
Nietzsche's view appeals more to me because Dawkins' view reeks of preaching to the choir. He's not wrong but he is literally just telling Atheists that their enemies suck. This is good for the ego to hear but not useful for intellectual development, even if true.
then there is the position held by folks like nostr:npub15j8y38lrntthj3gfv5mf03sayp82yace7d0u2y0t4ts278p4nknq2jh56c that Christianity is designed as a way for the Goyim to worship the Jewish G-d, so that whenever they start thinking about chasing the Jews out of their nation the priest tells them something about Chosen People or "G-d curses those who curse Israel" etc.
i haven't read Nietzsche but it is possible that he himself has alluded to this. just replace Master and Slave morality with Jews and Goyim.
He admired the Jews and the Romans as the two master peoples of history, albeit working with very different methods.
It's a complicated topic - humans have always had spiritual aspirations even from before recorded history. On the other hand, organized religion is ALWAYS corrupt. So in general, my position has been that I don't know whether spiritual or religious pursuits might have some value or not, but I certainly don't trust any institutional religion nor follow them. But at least in the past they did things like patronage of art and high culture, whereas now they are indistinguishable with the worst of trash culture, while all the innovation is done underground.
These numbers are not correct because they do not adjust for infant mortality. This subject has been addressed before. Prior to modern times infant mortality happened at horrific rates, but for those who survived past age 5, generally they lived "normal" lifespans. E.g. in the middle ages, it was more like 50s-60s.
All mainstream intellectuals repeat these fake figures because they believe in progress ideology and want to make the past seem worse than it was, but it was harsher than today for sure.
A Senator in my former AO just resigned from the State Senate because he got caught in a sting. It was a police detective posing as a 17yo girl on a dating site. He has now resigned and will be facing Federal charges. The media are framing this as "he was trying to have sex with a child". I would try to explain to the jelly-brained morons that 17yo is hardly a "child" but it would go absolutely nowhere. What the moralists really need is a tire iron upside the head.
Meanwhile in my current AO, last year, an elementary school teacher, female, had sex with an 11yo boy and the media covered it up. This is everyday life in America, a land filled with scum.
Maybe Bronze Age Pervert was right with all that "Tropical Aryan Urheimat" stuff. Sounds very promising. I still like your idea as a long-term possibility even though I can't do it in the short-term.
And that's taking into account that I think Florida has many and considerable downsides. The benefits might be enough to overcome that.
Yes - and I'd like to blame Jamie Dimon for the derivatives that were financial weapons of mass destruction in the 2000s because they were developed first at JP Morgan in the 1990s, but I believe that was before he was CEO.
I would guess that someone like Jamie Dimon knows a fair bit about money, but that's why he runs an entire global investment bank for decades and isn't just some branch banker.
i'll be honest early in the war i predicted on my site that Ukraine will win
nostr:npub1xy60n57p02ugl743zfag2ljftxh4s0ufpzu0wsmhdvng7hj5c0vqvx8w7v
this was based on assumption that election will be stolen from Trump the 2nd time as it was the 1st
but Trump cucked extra hard for Israel and Jews and was allowed to win
now Ukraine is fucked
To be fair I also thought that the 2024 election would be stolen. But the Democrats have a populist anti-Jewish rebellion going on. Meanwhile among Trump's major backers are people like Miriam Adelson (wife of the late casino billionaire Sheldon) and Ron Lauder (head of the World Jewish Congress and heir to the Estee-Lauder fortune). Also, Israeli intelligence has kompromat on the people who own and operate the electronic voting machines...
That's what makes me not want to live in the South. I would prefer warmer weather year-round, but the South has too many blacks, too many white negroes, and too much Jesus.
Though when I was in parts of rural Arkansas there were only Confederate flags flying and no blacks anywhere around - I even saw paintings of burning crosses LOL.
Did you return to X yet? I just logged in for the first time since December. I also had posts get censored, even ones that were pretty mild (one about the Holy-Hoax and one mocking Indians). I guess I'll have to keep criticisms of the religion of liberalism on Nostr. Feminism, immigrants and Jews are still sacred topics over on X.
We knew the propaganda machine was going to go ape as soon as he started targeting all of the covert funding. I think what's happened is that the tech bros no longer trust the woke elites not to throw them to the wolves, so they sided with the Trump faction. Neither the Trump faction nor the Silicon Valley elites are strong enough to beat the establishment singly but in alliance they might have a chance. But the OG coastal elite families are a giant crime syndicate and they're not gonna take an overhaul to the system of this magnitude lying down.
but that's not the disturbing realization
the disturbing realization is you can't make money by studying existing technology
you can only make money by creating new technology
in other words:
“One repays a teacher badly if one always remains nothing but a pupil.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
i love to learn but it doesn't pay to learn ( unless you're a dentist ).
Audio is a very old field. You can't make money in it because of that. only innovation happening is in software, DSP and high frequency switching amplifiers and to a lesser extent compression drivers and subwoofers. For the most part everything has been studied to death before i was even born.
even Artificial Intelligence is an old field by now, but there is still room for growth in AI at least.
to make money you have to look forward, not study the past.

Related to this was a quote I heard from some local people who did case studies of entrepreneurs in the area. They described entrepreneurs as "the opposite of Renaissance Men" and "overspecialized". They were obsessed with ideas and often had little outside of their field in which they were innovators. Many began working on their niche at a young age. They are described as "not fun at parties" and always thinking/strategizing on improvement within their specialty. Sometimes they were able to imagine markets that didn't yet exist and then will them into existence through persistent effort.
Interesting perspective and important for people like those in our circle who are both historians and Renaissance Men to think on. I love the quest for knowledge but I agree there's not much money in it, unless the quest updates your salable skills (something I did in a very hit or miss way this past year). I think there is hope for generalists to become entrepreneurial, actually, but it involves fighting one's natural tendencies and developing a more intense focus.
essentially AI has already replaced everybody who is only capable of memorizing crap and regurgitating it back
which is about 99% of liberal women for example
only somebody who can look at information and say no, this is wrong - can actually offer something over AI
as one of such people i can tell you we are the exception

AI as it stands right now has plenty of wrong information which I catch because I use it all the time now, but that's because most of them were designed and coded by liberal fags (some of whom happened to be Jewish). On a somewhat more sinister note, certain biases were likely forcibly put into the models by political actors, as we know the Biden admin were trying to craft an AI cartel under their exclusive control. This problem is not insurmountable as the technology improves but I bet it will be a persistent problem for the next decade or so.
I find it interesting that the Chinamen leaked and then open-sourced their AI trained on stolen data as a permanent F-U to the American AI industry right after the Biden team exited. I'm guessing they were planning that move for a while, and honestly I found it funny. There are some real improvements in DeepSeek's model btw, despite some of their more grandiose claims being lies, which the Western press immediately tried to downplay.
it is outrageous that Samsung has been selling phones with AMOLED screens for over 15 years and many android apps ( for example Redfin ) still don't have a dark mode
either developers don't understand how OLED screens work or the management doesn't care or both
regular mode quadruples power draw, heat generation and wear on an OLED screen
there is also the possibility that they know and have the budget to fix it but faggoty ass "designers" prefer the look of white backgrounds because they are literal actual faggots that take dicks up the ass
there is no arguing with artsy types. they are immune to logic.
nostr:npub1xy60n57p02ugl743zfag2ljftxh4s0ufpzu0wsmhdvng7hj5c0vqvx8w7v
Interestingly, Samsung's mobile browser actually has a "sensitive" mode that will either be light or dark depending on time of day in your locale, or you can set it to perma-dark as I do. Google Chrome on mobile, however, has very spotty record with dark mode even when it's explicitly enabled, oftentimes not working at all. This is on my Pixel 7 Pro so YMMV.
Brave has a dark mode but it looks like it is an afterthought, designed by the mentally deficient. The approach seems to be to invert most colors so it ends up looking hideous. Very inferior UX. But because that has native adblocking and I also use the Leo AI I end up using it a lot anyway.
All mobile devices should at least have custom UI packages that enable "always on dark modes" along with further features such as automatically terminating blue light after sundown. There may be some apps that offer these functions now - I haven't checked.
It's true - the games were not made for children but they were marketed to them. That's why it's fundamentally dishonest to claim vidya addiction is a "manchild" problem. It may be a waste of time but it is not particularly childish.

anybody fancy building a $10,000 DIY speaker system that is good for clean 130+ decibels with sound quality of a studio monitor ?
well i used my top 1% IQ and 25 years of experience in DIY audio to design one.

Start a business building these for rich people.
That's a fair point. His approach has been very sophisticated this time around, and whoever is doing this is someone who understands the inner workings of the surveillance state, and it has to be someone high up. This person may not even be known publicly.
Trump 45 was a lame duck
Trump 47 is actually doing things because he has Elon advising him
Trump naturally has the more cautious mentality of Real Estate where you basically watch the grass grow because in Real Estate it takes decades for investments to pay off
Elon has the "move fast and break things" mentality from Silicon Valley because in SV it's all about being first, even if you're not ready and have no idea what you're doing
in effect Trump 47 is actually a younger man than Trump 45 - his effective age is the average age of himself and Elon
Trump respects Elon because Elon is good at all the things that Trump values - namely being rich and famous, womanizing, having lots of kids and being arrogant.
one major difference between Trump and Elon is Trump is all talk, while Elon is MOSTLY talk but also sometimes actually does the crazy things he says he will do.
this is the difference between Trump 45 and Trump 47

It's a wise thing he's doing. At 78 Trump is clearly slowing down. Elon still has high energy in his 50s and is acting as the fire behind Trump making him move faster. The flurry of activity even at the very beginning of his presidency seems much more like Musk than Trump. Though as a foreigner he can never be President, he basically got his role as Shadow President.
Somehow I knew several years ago (around the time I came back to Twitter, so probably 2018) that something big was coming in 2024 AND that Elon would have something to do with it because he was then a fast rising star. But I had no idea how it could play out - because of Elon's foreign birth that was always a hurdle. Well, now we know he just had to make the right friends and ride the right movement. Brilliant moves on his part.
I'm inclined to agree with you, despite not liking him anymore than you do, that Elon is the master strategist of our age. No one has come close to this kind of maneuvering in my lifetime.
My experience is that some promiscuous women are pretty "highly charged", like there's some kind of physiological imbalance that greatly increases their needs relative to other girls. But there are also those women you mentioned who are extremely manipulative and narcissistic. A couple of different types and I've been involved with both.
The concern I have though is the data are what they are. It's not like we can have our head in the sand anymore. Promiscuity has been normalized and you have a situation where early 20s women are already mentally destroyed by being used and discarded too many times. Not a great pool to be picking from.
I'm not even against marriage ideally, but this is like trying to fight against the weather.
