I'll go first. I work in a Gold Mine in Northern Ontario and I'm a professional photographer on the side. I'm originally from Southern Ontario (London, Stratford area) but my wife and I moved to an area outside Fort Frances Ontario in 2021. I hate Canada now.

I used to have a ton of hobbies but as a new father I don't have as much time for stuff that isn't working on our home or spending time with my daughter, that being said I would consider my photography a hobby for now but I'm working on building that out into a business (preferably Bitcoin only).

I got into cryptocurrency through buying stuff on exchanges at first, then got into Ethereum mining. It's only recently that I've gone full Bitcoin maximalist as my understanding has increased. Again, we can thank nostr:npub1syp3ulvlvxawde5x29dtcqh2jtscq3jnr08zt6esmd2kvmxyfgcqnlxv6g for giving me the copy of "The Bitcoin Standard" that brought me to that point.

I've been musing on the Peace of Westphalia (1648). After 30 years of brutal war dominated by mercenaries and foreign interventions, European states established sovereignty as the core principle of continental security. It remains the nominal basis of international affairs today. Yet much as the rise of gunpowder and large armies forced the mutual need to recognize sovereignty, the rise of the internet and #bitcoin is challenging our understanding of sovereignty in a way not seen since those terrible decades centuries ago. I worry that the process will not be more peaceful this time around.
