damus android is written in C and Rust and directly renders to your phones GPU. it will be the fastest app on your phone by a large margin. this is likely one of the first Android apps written this way. it's cutting edge tech

it's been a couple years but it's gonna be nice to do zap stuff again on mobile. every notedeck feature is also a damus Android feature, so out of the box it will be just as fast as notedeck, have local search, tagging, works offline. need to tweak the UI a bit before alpha release, stay tuned

Along with android, search, and zaps on target for the notedeck beta release… giftwrap support in nostrdb is finally on my radar. Having giftwrap support in the local relay means it will treat unwrapped events like normal events (with no signature). This will enable you to query these notes like any other note in nostrdb.
