Yes I am optimistic by nature, the open source community is growing faster and faster. I do not hope for open source hardware, just software. An Android version of this will come out in no more then 2 years. There are already Google engineers reverse engineering this technology as we speak.
I think the hard part is to get this tech on a pair of regular glasses, not the open source version. If you think how fast Mistraal AI model was created after chat GPT became popular, you realise how powerful the open source devs are.
I guess I will be using this when it will work on an open source and privacy friendly OS with a pair of regular sized glasses.

I sleep on the floor on a futon by choice. I had back pain issues and it helped me to fix them, it is important that you get used to sleep on your back though.
