I wasn't previously familiar with the BlueSky model, but this does raise an interesting solution.
I've always wondered how compromised my current nsec is, considering how many clients I directly plugged it into during my early months here.
Whether we follow this route or another in the future, something must be developed.
That sounds amazing. Mind if I pop by for dinner? 😆
So far, so good. Enjoying some good podcasts, planning a meal out for some awesome pho, and looking forward to some coffee and a good book.
Any fun plans on your side?
Is there anyone working to torrent copies of IAWM to ensure its content continues to live on?
As for Arweave, I've not heard mhcb about it before. A quick search suggests that it's blockchain-based. In theory, that could either be very permanent or could lead to even more data loss if users stop running nodes to store all the data, no? Either way, I'll definitely be researching this further.
I had not heard about the nomadic identity development until today. If fully implemented, that would be a big step forward for the Mastodon folks. Alas, it still doesn't give seamless movement from one client to another like Nostr, but it's still a move in the right direction.
The questions are, how long will it take to develop and how many server hosts will fully implement it?
That's a headline without nuance.
Does it mean that percent of citizens have ever used BTC for transactions? Use BTC exclusively for transactions? Make a certain percent of their purchases in BTC?
There are so many possibilities.
I've seen folks posting #Nostr & #Bitcoin attire, like t-shirts and baseball caps. But has anyone made more formal attire with discrete, professional branding? For example, is anyone selling a Nostr necktie that I could wear to a professional meeting? Or is there a line of business shirts that might have a simple Nostr logo printed on the corner of the front pocket?

Many of us, myself included, throw around the term "freedom tech". For me, I often think of Bitcoin, Monero, and Nostr when using the term. Sometimes, Tor, I2P, LoRa mesh radio technologies, PGP, and the like also come to mind.
What other freedom technology do you use on the regular and advocate for?

What are the odds of getting Father John Whiteford onto Nostr?

I have seen some tokenized options but don't know if that's the right way forward.
I wonder if there's something that Nostr or other freedom tech could do to overcome this problem of centralized DNS.
Onion and eepsites aside, are there any alternatives available?
Sounds very promising! Do you work with individuals and groups outside of Chiang Mai to launch similar events?
That sounds amazing. Do you have any plans to release that content to the Nostrverse?
I'm finding that Amethyst takes a good 20-30 seconds to load up my feed, but thereafter everything runs fairly smoothly.
That sounds great. Keep us updated!
How do I add an XMR address to my profile to be compatible with moStard?
I just spent a few minutes glancing at Ditto. So far, the interface is fairly clean, and the site easy to use.
Are there any particularly outstanding features that I should toy around with?
I'm listening to nostr:npub1w3lka39nep7zv4vtq9hlckkz3pkpsxxp0ss25l02d78hgt9xjffsjh83kx Episode 124, and it's all about name changes, alternate identities, etc. The guest, Barry Reid, talks about his five-volume series, which started back in the Vietnam War days, and how you can use the State's own laws to help provide you with a new identity for personal safety, privacy, and even economic benefit.
I have to admit, the first think that came to mind when hearing all of this was nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n's "statist jiu jitsu".
