I'm going back to the Dolomites for a week at the end of September as I feel there is some unfinished business. This time, instead of just trekking, we are aiming to do 6 high level Via Ferrata routes in the Sella/San Martino mountain range in 5 days. Will use two refuges as a base. Really looking forward to it.

I think i will wait till i can get an umbrel home device i dont really want to have to pay a monthly fee for a vps i understand ill still have to grab a domain and since i dont have a static ip ill have to setup a dynamic dns with a client on my system i think idk

Instead of getting a dedicated node , consider looking at #ProxMox.

You can then run your own VPSs.

This makes backup of the entire relay node easier.

Later you can add more machines and build it into a cluster.

Ok, I too enabled nip42 (though a finite monetary supply for bitcoin is nice too, and it's already enabled on my bitcoin node). I think I've done it exactly like you. Maybe your relay was already a well-known one while mine wasn't? Not sure how it selects relays for publishing.

Call me paranoid , but why are the words 'in our systems' even at the end of the sentence ?

"Once your account is deleted, your account is no longer available in our systems."

I tried to switch to linux, for basic home computing use.

I was advised to use Solus. The installation and setup was very easy but I gave up after seeing that it uses eopkg instead of apt.

When I try to install certain programs, it's impossible or requires additional painful steps for a noob.

Should i try linux mint or other distros? #asknostr #linux
