Had the same experience. I even fed it live wasps. It just closed and then opened after two days. I guess the prey is supposed to fall on the soil and "fertilize" it.
This is not a mock screen, by the way. The app fully works and I test it with real bitcoin and real payments. Who has time for testnets?
