Probably, and what could we do? The blockchain has a record of every transaction. They will know roughly how much each of us have except for maybe the most extreme non-Kyc p2p only maxi.
It will be like gold confiscation. It’s illegal to own or use. Send it to this government address and we’ll exchange it for digital dollars. If you don’t we arrest after this predetermined date.

So Coinbase is registered with the SEC but gets sued for selling unlicensed securities. Binance gets sued for not registering with CFTC.
I mean they aren’t wrong but suddenly they care about it now? Seems sus like they are going to go after every exchange for any reason they can find all of a sudden.

You can upgrade the ram in those and storage with a M.2 but levono made it unnecessarily difficult to do unlike the older models. Caveat emptor but if you can find a cheap one go for it. Just depends on what you’re going to use it for.
I was trying to grab a W520 for dirt cheap but got sniped. If you are ok with a desktop they sell old business SFF towers for less than $80 all day long and easy to upgrade with used parts off eBay.
If you're using the NotABot service, I could use a few beep boop verifications that I'm not a bot. It was updated today to support the beep boop nos2x plugin on Chromium based browsers. https://NotABot.net Let me know if you beep boop need a verification back. Let's build that Web-of-Trust 🤙🏻 🤖
How do I know that you’re not a bot?

Alright nerds. I bought a old HP Elite 3800 desktop off eBay. Ordered some upgrades mostly from eBay: a new GeForce graphics card, 24G RAM, 500G SSD for OS (Linux Mint), a secondary 2T SSD for Bitcoin Core, and a i7-3770 to upgrade the CPU.
Not top of the line but very functional and zippy for what I am going to ask it to do. Got the whole kit for around $300 which is a lot cheaper than a Pi setup for a node and I get a daily driver on top. I still have to put everything together and get it running but it’s a lot easier than people think
My thinkpad got sniped.
Spied a HP Elite 8300. It looks like I can install 2 SSD so I can put the node on one side and general use on the other. Thanks again for the advice
How loud are the fans on these?
