Your posts often have so much value, here's a little value back.
Yeah, people from life is super hard. That's good work.
What an episode!
I've been offered a small space in a local radio. And I am planning on what to do or what to say.
Apparently I have freedom. Yet the space belongs to the public university and there is some editorial line there. So I should probably not cross that lines at first. Though little seeds of wisdom can be dropped there...
Shoot ideas.
I thought the space should be called "Dentro" (means "Within")
And this will be the intro music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeKsnUGUq2U
"Sleepers, wake. The voice calls"
I chose it because of the hymn it contains. Written after a devastating epidemic, the hymn was written as a message of hope and grace in which we must hold our own lights to receive the new day.
So this modern jazzy version of it will help grease the solemnity of the original and yet, contain it and bring it to life.
The first theme that I will present will be gratitude. Being grateful.
"When a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the entire system to a higher order.β
Ilya Prigogine, Nobel Laureate
We are the little island.
I am a little island of coherence
Good luck to you sir.
Ooh, limited color palette is so interesting. I look forward to more.
Another one! I'm feeling good about complete these paintings, they are pretty big for me. I am going to try and get in more short exercises and value studies in between.
I had a few references for this but wasn't coping any of them directly, which was a great challenge. I need suggestions for painting sand with watercolor... Anyhow, I'm pretty happy with it.

Lol, this is too much! I will say that I like Monteverde inks at the moment, they are just really well behaved. I guess I would go for a deep orange with plenty of shading, I think shading looks really fun in brighter inks. I'm really not sure what I could possibly name it...maybe Quintessential Orange? I imagine a more fiery version of Quinacridone Gold, commonly known as Quin Gold in Watercolor.
You mean Herpes right? π

I have a book of paper that my grandma spilled something on, so I'm cutting off the ruined bits and using them up. Trying to use it to help me loosen up, I'm kind of a perfectionist.
Nice! It is good to do hard work. I just helped fill walls with hempcrete last week, left me sore but happy.
Finished!
Not a great composition again, I need to bite the bullet and paint larger!

The light playing off the calfe of the girl the box (drum?) is awesome. Looks like fun.
Tasting the first homegrown dried tobacco...
Very soft and gentle. It is very different from a commercial one. God knows what additives they have...

I definitely plan on smoking a pipe with homegrown tobacco when I start turning gray.
There is a certain subtle depth to the emotion. I feel like your depiction of form is usually quite good, but I do see that the emotion here is a touch more... real?
That's interesting, it does look like a sketch in comparison to his later work.
As you weren't generous enough for me to buy new boards to finish the playhouse I am forced to be resourceful. I found these thrown at a waste bin and I'm going to use them.
So here I am taking the old nails out so I can cut them to size and finish the contours of the upper part of the playhouse.
I hope I can finish it before my kids emancipate and have their own families. Or perhaps it was just meant to be for my grandsons if any

Nice haul of wood, I tend to use scrap alot too. When I was a kid I'd have been the one with the pliers pulling nails out of boards.
What a find! And quite the legacy of craftsmanship it seems.
I second nostr:nprofile1qqsfx4kspz4jy64kkz9t83eeqp2xk2pkcjx82flsu5ejczfqrglxmjqpz4mhxue69uhks6tnwshxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yurvv438xtnrdakseaecxz; great art, I love the colors, and excellent rules. I tend to be a perfectionist myself and I am gonna try some art with that exact list!
Here's the other piece:
I really like how this one came out, same materials as the previous piece.
