These self-hosted things are impossible to work with because sending patches and commenting on stuff is way too cumbersome. GitHub is good because everybody has an account already. Eventually we'll make GitHub on Nostr then everything will be fine.
Why use relay "aggregators" or "proxies" if you can just use the https://nostr.band/ relay that has everything?

I think the next wave of Nostr clients will be people using "ostrich" names translated to other languages.
Then they will find some weird ancient cultures that had ostriches as gods and use these names.
