Also, rarely do I find a service that doesn’t let you use the whole month of service if you immediately unsubscribe. If they don’t then they don’t get my money.
Subscribe and unsubscribe in the same 5 minutes.
If you find a service that seems hard to cancel, see if it’s available on Apple or Googles App Store as a subscription that’s easy to cancel there
Only my utility bills and insurances do I have re-occurring. Everything else I pay for only when needed.
Shouldn’t passkeys help resolve a lot of this onboarding?

#Nostur update (TestFlight)
- Quickly show anyone’s feed, no need to login with their npub
- Show full nip05 on profile instead of only domain part
- Fixed hashtag loading issues

Awesome! Just an FYI, mine doesn’t say “Show feed”. It says “Show f…” like it’s being cut off.
I completely disagree that water and bitcoin would be similarly important to a group of people, if that’s what you’re trying to convey.
This type of talk is what turns people away from bitcoin.
Dramatized and questionable comparison.
Apple doesn’t give a damn about the zapathons yet but if they don’t apply the rules across the board they don’t get their Spotify and Fortnite money and they won’t get the zapathon money when someone does make a Apple-cut zapathon-ish thing.
You’re hosting a public website that sends passwords across the Internet in clear text, unencrypted.
Fix that or you shouldn’t be running the site.
Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks.
I just read this message on Primal. Did you get the shadowban removed now then? If not, how am I seeing this?
They probably didn’t have non-SMS multi-factor enabled on a secure device.
Eeasy peazy fix for next time.

-> Bandwidth kills my data
This is highly addressable through data toggles, but this is a feature not a bug.
Nostr doesn't need max usage when you're on the go to sustain some fiat shareholder paradigm.
When you're out & about, touch the grass fren - let go of the tech.
-> Content isn't to my liking
Okay, but how about posting screenshots of the content you feel is missing on Nostr?
This is a Free & Open Source production held up by volunteers.
We don't work for you, but we can all work for each other.
-> Lose your nsec, Lose your identity
Yes, you might have to start over if you do something wrong with your nsec, but your community will rebuild you faster than you think.
If anything, this is just another exercise in personal responsibility, if you lose your Bitcoin keys - you lose all of your money - freedom isn't a game.
-> Bitcoin echo chamber
Heaviest objects in the universe are shitcoin bags.
Jokes aside, this is another feature not a bug scenario.
Onboarding millions of people to Bitcoin should happen on a platform like Nostr.
We are here to help you begun your journey in a fun way & we'll always be here for anyone who wants to query us!
This is an amazing tool for showing people how decentralized networks operate, zaps are the standard & if you onboard people differently so be it...but learning to hold your nsec before your Bitcoin keys seems like a nice right of passage, the old walk before you run moment.
-> Everyone I follow is on XYZ
These people are dumb sheep, they can only follow the herd.
Spend your time figuring out how to make the Nostr experience better & people will come.
Better means fun a lot of the time & I feel like Nostr devs have embodied this aspect so far.
Those are some flippantly weak responses to legitimate criticisms.
I get that the plebs thing is a cool self-deprecating thing or re-ownership of meaning from the Bitcoin sphere and it has deep meaning referring to history of currency etc but new Nostr users may not want to associate themselves with the term.
So I would avoid plebs or plebeians just for more widespread adoption.
Just my 2 cents.
Neither, and the Internet acts like neither.
