Game mods =3
Then game stores <3
Now that I think about it as well, would also work as a security check-in for buildings.
or don't travel to said countries i guess.
text is fine on nostr, decentralized and censorship resistant and getting more powerful by the day, but ya.. media is another thing.
Images, and more so videos, is a very hard kraken to apply the same benefits.
AWS is nice, and less likely to get videos censored over there than youtube for example, but still a gov can hit them up and say "remove x video, they're mean to us".
I have no clue how to even think of a solution to this, honestly, for images, videos, and large files.
for now ye.
1 the public is neutral about.
1 is hated.
1 is, i guess, controversial.
I'll most likely do 2 things #nostr clients are resisting to do, one more than the other, around/after when v1 of nostr:nprofile1qqs0f0clkkagh6pe7ux8xvtn8ccf77qgy2e3ra37q8uaez4mks5034gpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfnj7qg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx77r5wghxgetk9u7whuha is out. Actually, might be 3 things.
Will share more info when that time comes. Should be interesting to see if I'd be in the wrong or not. Regardless of the outcome, it will benefit the space from observing and learning from it.
Exactly. Same with Twitter. Elon's Twitter, Elon's rules.
I saw it no different than twitter, in a sense of "I don't like Twitter, so I'll make Twitter-A" then someone on Twitter-A will be like "I don't like Twitter-A, so I'll make Twitter-B" where the extra nice thing about making a Twitter-A and -B etc is that they can talk with each other, however, all the cons are there when compared to Twitter from the perspective of freedom.
Platforms like Telegram, Rumble, etc, and others for their niche like Gab, and pseudo decentralized like Mastadon, are being hunted from the looks of it.
Looking at those, #nostr is the strongest in terms of combating these hunt campaigns, however, there still needs to be improvements in regard to actual deniability.
Relay operators will be the targets of a Nostr attack.
From my POV, here's what needs to happen:
- For relays to somehow not know/gather IP addresses of users.
- Every client should be a relay operator (WoT to decrease load and spam resistance).
Maybe... how about playing that new cute fruit bowl art thing where you stack fruits for points
Already building with this mindset and telling people that it doesn't matter if they threaten as I have no control (takes normies a while to understand how there's no central control when I mention this).
I think that's the better phrasing you were trying to aim at. Not that nostr can be shut down, or that it can be prevented from thriving, but heavily suppressed to thrive.
With that in mind, I think the goal here then is to keep on working and trying to make more useful products that deliver more value then current ones in the marke, and new values. Hard? Definitely. Possible? Definitely. When? Hopefully sooner rather than later with an exponential rate.
With what you said, I'm not imagining that they've implemented a system where suddenly a video call appears out of no where with an employee to talk to your about the product, right there as a popup, in real-time x3
Be careful what you wish for xD
Imagine this: They come and arrest the creator of #nostr , and all the founders of clients on top of it like Snort, Damus, Primal, etc, and they take all of their possessions and prevent their team from working on these projects, and also threaten them as they order them to stop nostr and these clients.
Guess what'll happen? Nothing.
Nostr and the clients built on top of it still work, can't be stopped, and other people around the world continue its development.
Devs are laughing, users are laughing, and everyone is laughing at those who try to stop nostr.

Just remembered out of the blue... I know ResetEra is the new crazy NeoGaf, but did NeoGaf become a normal gaming forum nowadays or are they still as crazy like ResetEra?
(Reason I'm asking is because they're chill about monkeh game's success)
toast to that. anime ftw x3
Ya... but not thaat much
Sigh...
Once I fix the game mods space, and if the opportunity comes up, I'll fix the localization issue.
#gaming #anime #zzz #translation

it's all local in terms of UX, so I'd assume clients could easily add an option remove the DM UI/button and disable notifications for it.

(I think the issue is the wrapped messages thing on Amethyst, the hat with glasses icon next to the input/message field, turning that off should send messages normally?)
If this issue continues, we could dm on discord or whatever else for the time being).
Yea., it seems like it was that wrapped messaging issue, i can see DMs now on other clients.
Doesn't seem like there there's an option to turn it off by default, so i guess if anyone would want to use it they'd have to turn it off (tap it) every time before they want to send a dm
