It’s too interesting and valuable to not catch on. Not every big app or platform has inherent virality, a lot of times things just get shared because people like it.
Kudos to Nostr for having specifications that are very simply written.
I can imagine that they are underspecified if I were building on top of them, but as a reader and learner they are fantastic.
Can you explain? Wouldn’t it make more sense to the government to build on its own blockchain? They would control most of the nodes and trust themselves to back the currency rather than someone else.
I feel like the arguments here are tenuous. Obviously the US is not going to go the way of El Salvador. They could theoretically try to influence the bitcoin-core codebase, but if it got bad enough nodes just switch to using a new codebase.
