It has been a long while since I gave up trying to orange pill people, it just fealt so futile. But yesterday I got talking with this guy who seemed switched on, he understood what was financially wrong with the world and how a big part of it was the FIAT keynsian system, he understood the benefit of gold backed and hard money standards, and how deadly hyperinflation can be, he knew something about Austrian econ. The guy sceptically "held" (probably custodially) a small amount of CryPtO.

So we had been chatting about an hour by this point around these kind of topics and I thought fuck it, maybe I'll offer the pill again, so I gently tried to suggest how #bitcoin is the hardest money ever to exist and if adopted globally could potentially solve a lot of the problems he's seeing,... He confidently came back with some low IQ FUD about new "bitcoins" being printed all the time whenever a new cryptocurrency is created, this comment made me feel at a bit of a dead end. But fuck it, I've come this far I'll push on further.

So I went deeper in explaining first mover advantage and all the other differences which make BTC stand out against the rest and I actually feel that I might have moved the dial. Another friction point for him was that most of the Bitcoiners he had met were "conspiracy theorists" so I refrained from informing him that many conspiracy theories are provably true these days 🤣 but anyway... I feel I moved the needle with this guy. I don't think I fully convinced him as we ran out of time but I have hope that I may have shifted his perspective just enough that the snow ball starts rolling.

Or maybe I'm just #coping about a wasted conversation? 🤣 I try to stay #optimistic.

I just can't yet comprehend how anyone can read both sides of this story and draw the conclusion that v30 is better for bitcoin than Knots 🤷🏻‍♂️ it smells of fake news, disinformation and ulterior motives. If I hear a legitimate argument to change my mind I will consider it because I'm not delusional in thinking I'm always right. But I haven't heard an argument yet which didn't turn out to be straight up disinformation or diversion.

Yeah, I basically mentioned a similar sentiment In a previous post about this topic, but nobody saw that post because my npub was so new 😂 it's possible to make the argument that it's a feature not a bug, and the argument I made was that it reflects the "real world" more acurately. When you arrive to a totally new place, you have no friends, it takes time and a lot of effort and interaction before you start finding the people you want to continue interacting with, nostr currently mirrors this in my opinion, and maybe it's not a bad thing, but it is frustrating to come here as a new npub 😅.

That being said I've had this new npub about a month now and I already seem to be getting fairly decent engagement (for my level).

But I do still think there is room for improved discoverability in those early days, Lord knows what though 🤷🏻‍♂️😅 I'm no dev.

No pain, no gain 😂 at least I have work which I am good at, enjoy, and feel like I am providing value to the world 💪🏼 gotta find the gratitude in that 😁 thanks for the follow.
