Ugh the government…am I right? 😩😂 There is a lady around here that decided to #exitandbuild in 2020.
She moved from the city to our small town and bought land zoned rural-residential, clearing her plans for livestock before she bought.
Now they are telling her no animals, no tiny home/campers/winter sheds on wheels, etc. She has to have a full foundation and permanent residence put up before she can put ANYTHING on the property.
She’s currently renting and very worried about the economy and the possibility her and her family may get kicked out when rates increase more because her landlord is sketchy.
She wants to just sell it but there is nothing decent to buy around here anymore that is unorganized and they’ve already set down roots in our region.
I told her to just tuck it in the trees and by laws be damned but I feel so bad they are struggling. I wish there was some good way to end the post but I guess it’s just a fuck em kind of day.

I’m a huge fan of sauerkraut or kimchi with eggs and microgreens for breakfast. Yum
Anyone have a #freezedryer and had to find a new compressor start relay? Mine is busted and Harvest Right is giving me the runaround. #grownostr
Get ahead of the economic changes with varied income streams!

I’ve done it the same way in a crock pot with dried herb.
After losing my job in LTC due to mandates, I started a nonprofit in the local food sector. My income has been limited, but my husband covers the bills, allowing me flexibility during this phase. I benefit from wholesale pricing and growing our own food to save money.
In January, needing more income and with my business facing limitations, I began an intensive training program assisting people with developmental disabilities. I joined an incredible organization that doesn't mandate shots in our region and pays above-average wages. It's filled with talented professionals who have been cast out by other organizations due to their choices.
Currently working as a casual employee, I'm seeking a sleep night position that better suits my needs. The role involves helping clients with their nightly routines and morning needs, while also allowing time to sleep. The environment is caring and nonviolent, and the work is rewarding. My days will be 100% free for my homestead and family if this comes to pass.
Initially, I started a business to achieve flexibility for homeschooling and homesteading, but it often took me further from that goal. Now, I'm considering a night job that allows me to prioritize my family and pursue online content without financial pressure.
It's essential to remain open to new opportunities that align with our personal goals instead of feeling stuck in a particular path.
With the banks collapsing, I sit here and think—Jack must have went on vacation. 😂
I’m going to distract myself from the economic porn.
The suckers will be running soon. This is the place that my husband asked me to marry him and we take our kids to every spring.
Let me know where you land on this. In Canada there seems to be less options.
We still have snow & there was frost this morning. Send some Sunshine my way.
Ontario is the problem. The health unit and dairy regulators have jumped up our asses more than once for the tiniest infractions. Ie. I have a shopkeepers exemption for glass bottle dairy—but they cracked down on me delivering it. Each person has to physically get it from my store or I have to get a distribution licence. Even though I transport it 4hrs to my shop.. it’s all senseless.
Continuous frustration. I’ve had some hard hitting blows.
That’s why it’s plastered on MSM - it’s useful for their agenda and time to let the plebs know their economy is fragile. “Solution” time is coming.
What got me started was understanding how the economic system worked and realizing it had to inevitably collapse. I wanted to start a family (2011), so living close to the land was the only way I’d feel secure enough to move ahead with life as I’d envisioned.
Check out our local initiatives and advancements in the food industry. Since our inception in 2020, experience has proven to be our greatest teacher!
Previously, our revenue model was intricate and time-consuming, with narrow margins and excessive overheads. To address these issues, we've pivoted and established a nonprofit organization, allowing us to efficiently pursue endeavors that make a positive impact.
