You're really suggesting that because Bitcoin *exists* and it hasn't yet fix all the worlds ills that that is somehow proof it can't fix any issues?
Miners don't show up to your house with guns and throw you in jail if you don't pay them.
You're joking?... Right?
Musk calling for regulation on an industry he is deeply invested in: SHOCKED
nostr:npub1l43cn7g5k0hk83e2k9gljkzjd6zuzfulk8e5s592j4xrpgs329ws6x27nr is soooooooo dumb he thinks free speech applies to his speech but not nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr's speech.
According to my source, Elon Musk has purchased nostr.com
Very cool
because it's a PWA?
Could a non-custodial mobile lightning wallet like nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg do the persistent notification trick I see some Android apps use to stay active? Maybe with that we could have NWC autosends with a budget without switching apps?
Woo 1k followers 🥳
Thanks y'all 🤙

Without freedom you're being temporarily granted safety by your ruler. I'd rather it not be someone else's decision if I deserve to be safe today.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Omg so this might have actually been an accident 😭. I figured it was a some special deal between the wallet holder and miner... yikes...
Ray tracing ?
Zap = lightning payment + nostr event (receipt for payment)
Yes, your private key is sensitive. So you want to enter it sparingly. On mobile stick with highly reputable and open source clients. On the computer load your private key in Alby then login using alby. Most web clients support this and your private key is never shared with the client.
I can try to break those down for ya!
Alby: Nostr has native support for what we call "zaps". A zap is a micro payment (a.k.a tip) which anyone can send anyone else. These zaps use Bitcoin's lightning network to make the magic happen. Alby is an easy to use lightning wallet with native nostr features
Client: nostr is a protocol, not an app. It's just a set of standards for how apps *could* talk together. A nostr client is just an app that follows those standards. Client = App.
Public/Private keys: on nostr you don't have an account like a traditional platform. You have keys. Your public key is what you share so people can follow you, and your private key is your secret password. Whenever you do anything on the network your client will sign the event using your private key. If I have your public key I can look at that event and prove it was originally created by you. In this way your "account" is entirely portable. You just plug your key into a new app and all your data follows you (because you own your key)
