I do something similar, but currently use Obsidian and Notion to work through tasks and keep relevant notes on everything I've done over the course of the day.

I've often had to revert to previous notes on a project to get an understanding of where it has been left and in many cases even to figure out how to approach it. It saves so much time, otherwise I end up in the constant cycle of figuring things out rather that catching up and getting ahead.

The brain is great at creating new ideas and not that great at keeping old ones available and relevant. Notes of one kind or another are perfect for retaining this info for another date when we may need it.

Teaching a grade 5 English class showing them how to zap people on nostr from getalby through nostrgram they are unimpressed they really don't get it at least I tried. I on the other hand am over the moon loosing my shit like I'm at a football match or what have you.

👀🤯 THE MOST SPAMMING NOSTR RELAYS LIST

I put together a list of the most spamming relays to see if any particular relay(s) are the biggest source of the spam issues. As it turns out, there are 4 that are by far the worst offenders.

What I did was take the number of posts over the last 24 hours to the relay (as indexed in NostrGram) and divided that by the number of users for that relay. I keep stats on how many users each relay has, and rebuild those stats a couple of times a day.

As it turns out, the worst offenders BY FAR are:

Since paid relays are the most likely to reflect how often real people post on average, I checked the average of all the paid relays in terms of posts per user per day. They average 1.2 posts per user per day (the Damus relay also averages about 1.1 per day).

**The top 4 worst offenders average 140 posts per user per day.** 🤯

I am removing those 4 relays from NostrGram indexing effectively immediately, and I recommend you remove them from your read/write list as well to prevent performance issues on whatever client you use.

Spammers won't pay. Operators of paid relays have a financial incentive to stop spam, and will quickly block spammers, which means the spammer will have to pay again, and again, and again and will get no return because of it. It removes the incentive to spam. Spamming is incredibly inefficient, so it only works when it's free or insanely cheap to spam. That's why email has so much spam while so little (comparatively) gets sent to mobiles via text messages. It costs money to mass text, so the economic incentive isn't there.

IF the intention of a #paidrelay is truly to remove the spam for users, the price of admission should be no more that 1 #sat above the break even point for spam bots to be profitable. I believe this value is, in fact, 1 #sat. Beyond that your are buying a members only jacket.
