Small homestead raising water buffalo, pigs, Jersey cows, beef stockers, turkeys, chickens, ducks, and free range kids. divinafarms.com

Nice success rate. We only had about 50% of our turkeys hatch and then a few died a few days after that. What do you use for your temp and humidity settings?

Big daddy Bacchus our #waterbuffalo bull laying down for some belly rubs and #buffalove. Yes they really do like to lay down for belly rubs.

Maria the matriarch #waterbuffalo had her calf today and it's a girl! She beat all the moos that are due any minute. Still on calf watch for 3 moos and 1 water buffalo.

I'm on baby watch too. 3 of the moos and at least 2 of the water buffalo. Good luck!

Looks good. This is the way. I'm now about 90% #carnivore and 10% keto. So many benefits to the WOE. Since Jan 11, 2023 I've lost 20# and some inches off my waist, cm shown in the graph below. Almost got my sugar cravings kicked. Slowly but surely getting there. As an engineer I like data and making graphs 😂

Moved the brooder chicks to their temp outside enclosure to make room for the hatching turkeys. The chicks are doing well and seem to be enjoying their expanded digs. This will allow the existing flock to get to know them before they are integrated in the future. It also gives them protection from some ravens that have killed and eaten chicks in the past.

Definitely trim it back. The way I got my animals to respect the single strand is too make sure it really hits and all the time. I currently have about 7,200 ft of permanent and temp hotwire around the property at the moment. With the light drizzle we had last night it was hitting at about 9.5 kV this morning when I tested it before letting the animals out to graze. I only have 2 ground rods made from rebar too.

If you don't have a good fence tester, definitely invest in one. I use this one: https://store.am.gallagher.com/am/us/en_US/animal-management/electric-fencing/power/remotes-and-fence-testers/fence-volt-current-meter-and-fault-finder/p/G50905

During the summer I have a dripline on the ground rods to keep the soil around them moist. We get blazing hot and dry during the summer here.

Looking forward to your posts. Nice job on the charger box too.

You should be getting a much bigger kick. I have the exact same charger. I have multiple lines running around the property. I am getting about 8-9 kV even with all the temp polywire I just put up. It'll get up to 10-11 kV when it's just the permanent wire. How many ground rods you have?

Thanks. The wife and I were always having trouble how much they have earned doing chores and where and when they spent it. So we now use a shared Google Sheet embedded in the HA dashboard as the ledger with the main page being the daily earnings.

The following sheets are the individual child's spending and tracking.

I created some entities in HA using the multiscrape integration in HACS for the Spending Money values:

https://github.com/danieldotnl/ha-multiscrape

Now the kids can open up the HA dashboard on the kitchen computer to see what they have. When we are out and about, myself or wife can open up HA and look to see what they have when they ask to buy something.

I started having it alert me when via phone notifications and announcing on the google home assistant in the kitchen which incubator was out of tolerance and then announcing what the humidity and temperature are so we know what to remedy.

I'm looking forward to the HA voice stuff. The Alexa we have seems to be getting dumber and never understands what we are asking. And yes getting away from these spy devices the sooner the better. We use them 90% of the time to set a timer so if I can get that sorted that'll be a huge leap away from the amazon and google devices.
