šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦clap along if you feel that’s what you want to do šŸŽ¶ āļøsaucyāļøstylishāļøswankyāļø

It’s interesting to note how many DM’s im receiving right now that support what I’m saying. But because ā€œfearā€ has been cultivated into new users voicing dissimilar opinions to your they get attacked, or run off nostr. Suppose I’ll go ā€œlighten upā€ā€¦ any suggestions?

I really tried to show ya a different viewpoint & experiences of a new user. And I get laughed at. And this is what the typical new user feels. Like they don’t belong. And saying this is not beneficial.

It cause the top advanced seasoned users don’t follow you.. your voice will not carry. Or be heard. And it needs to carry. Thank you for speaking up. I appreciate you.šŸ«‚šŸ«¶

ā€œWell, you don’t have to, but that’s the only way it works right now. If you don’t have the time then nobody can fix that for you.ā€

This further validates my point. New users expect those ideas/connections/groups/discussions to already exist. And when they realize they don’t.. they don’t have the time to do it. Unless someone spends hours of their day on nostr, which.. lets hope they are healthy & don’t, they are alienated & leave to spaces that do already have it. ie. other platforms

… and a new user will not. Period.

Time… is the factor to note here. New users don’t have time to cultivate such a process. Their attention span is gone by then, & so are they.

šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļønew user asks valid & important question, provides feedback on new user experience. questions to honest concerns are brushed aside. corn, I realize you & I may never see eye to eye, & that’s ok, I still respect your opinion, & open discussion… but if nostr is to grow Matt’s point is very valid.

How do ya suggest a new user find a community? It’s extremely difficult imo & from my own experience here. I have wayyyyy more patience then most, it took 1+ month to even get other users to talk to me on here. New users decide in 1-2 days. *Maybe week tops.. After that.. they will leave. Newbies have no method to find similar users they may want to talk with. Only option I kno of is hashtags, and I didn’t figure that out till being here for weeks. Even the words are terrible choices… ā€œplebsā€ā€¦? It sounds degrading, it’s origin is unknown, and it’s not helpful. I quit using the word pleb.

#[3] hit nail on head šŸ’Æ

This is 100% reason every new user that I’ve greeted to the platform has left. They verbalized it too. I periodically go through followers list, to check up on the newbies I welcomed/followed/zapped/replied to.. and all of them has left the platform. It’s massive problem, but the problem doesn’t want to be heard. Even seasoned users like myself are exhausted by the constant repeat chambered bitcoin talk.

Thank you kind ser šŸ«¶šŸ«‚

#[2] something wrong with my ā€œlikeā€button since new flight release. Scrolling through my feed, I tap ā€œšŸ¤™ā€ on a note I like… but the colour will not change to purple as sign I tapped ā€œlikeā€. Only way I kno I tapped ā€œšŸ¤™ā€ is by clicking the post itself, and only there does it show as purple, to prove the note was liked.

Thread much?

Lol.

Realize Jack mom still reading all this right??!! 🤣🤣
