Correct. A can see B's post in A's main feed, as a community submission. However, A will not see B's post in the community page until it gets approved.

The person is not posting to the community. It's just to you.
Mute is there because another client created for you :)
Not a bug, a feature. If you follow the author of the post request, you already see it as approved. The same if you write it yourself. There is no need for moderators to approve because you are already trusting/following the author.
Should communities and hashtags you follow be individually selectable on Amethyst's top bar as if they were a list?

It's a markdown bug I spent the day hunting it down. I will release a version tomorrow with the fix.
