Apologies, I spoke too soon. After restarting Amethyst I've seen nostr.wine pop up again even though it is in my blocked relay list. There's some path in the code that attempts yo write to it despite regardless of having it in my block list. Although adding it yo the blocked relay list seems to help (as in, the pop up isn't displayed as frequently).

That's the new normal. Those are all the relays the folks you are following use. Amethyst now connects to all of them to make sure you get what you need.

No, but they should tweak the settings for their own lists to the relays they want to use for each feature of Nostr. We just have all the features :)

Tips and Tricks.
By default, all feeds are loading through Tor. So, if Tor is slow or it is offline, few things will load.
To improve that, we added a Trusted Relay section in your relay lists. You can add there all the relays you trust enough to use without Tor. In that way, even if Tor is down, you will still see posts from those relays.
Of course, you can also disable Tor or disable the option on privacy settings to not use Tor for untrusted relays. But that is not recommended.

No, more likely others have misconfigured their relays lists and you are seeing the errors when using those dumb relays.
But this should not interfere with your usage.
It will always be. We are about to delete it because we cannot track your follow count on ALL relays out there.
Then the app doesn't know where to get your drafts from. You can add the ones you were using as public outbox before to see if the drafts are there.
That is very strange. Have you tried uninstalling it to delete the local DB? It should be an old setting that got saved and it is interfering with the new app. :(

Oh, the app is authing, but probably somebody in your follows is using these relays as outbox and when Amethyst makes a filter for posts they reject.

Which relay are you saving your drafts? Sometimes it takes a while to decrypt them. They load only after everything else.
You can add it to the block relay list. But I am wondering if this happens because of multiple logged in accounts and one of them is a nostr.wine subscriber.

Tor's main limitation is not speed. It's bandwidth.
But it does make things very complicated when you consider everything users can choose.
They do. But to me the "hub" is just the "hint" on how to get most of the posts/member information. Reaching out to people's outbox and inbox relays will bring more stuff that wasn't sent to those core relays.
Then you are just another centralized app. What's the point of nostr if we don't teach people ways to control their data?
