I guess it's what you want to get out of it. Personally I want to see what my friends said, when they said it. Not let an algo decide whether it's worthy of my attention.
I'm honestly not sure why everyone creams their pants over Zeus. I've found it to be endlessly buggy.
For the desktop, I've been liking PopOS a *lot* more than Ubuntu. It's still Ubuntu-based, but whatever they're doing with their packages is loads more stable.
Good riddance. I've always preferred chat over the flat Twitter model. People are generally more cordial with each other and you can have a real convo rather than just dunking on each other.
> Turns out a bad algorithm is worse than none.
Always has been 🌎🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀.
Even Facebook was fun before algo feeds. Anything other than chronological order is just a tool to keep you scrolling longer.
The irony is that this makes the penny scarce! Maybe one day a penny will be worth its value in metal.
When you unfold it, the screen is quite large! If you can find a way to test one out, I'd recommend it
This step is always what throws me and then I can't figure out how to make it just friggin work with a regular-ass wallet. Last couple times I tried, I just ended up using PayPal 🤮. Didn't know they supported lightning.. I'll have to give it another spin. Paying with BTC shouldn't be this cumbersome.
Or if you want something cheaper and separate from your phone, graphene also runs on the pixel tablet!
What the fuck nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h ? Are you out of your minds? If you're going to "collect my reading activity and personal notes", at least end-to-end encrypt them and don't harvest them for targeted advertising.
There is absolutely no way I'll be continuing to use you "Reader" software in this context, and you can be sure that if you release a custom OS that has this level of privacy invasion I will not be using it. If that means I can't use the hardware either, then so be it.
This is coming from someone who said the hardware is completely revolutionary and life-changing.

Honestly, if you want to read, get a pixel fold and install grapheneOS on it and throw on the blue light filter. I got mine for the express purpose of being able to properly read manga and I love it 😁
My flow is to just scroll the chronological feed. Nostrudel is great for this since it doesn't add any "trending" junk, just my follows.
Probably because it takes more work to get "full" on a veggie diet than a meat-based keto one. I ate a lot of sandwiches when I was veggie. Drank a lot of beer, too 😅
Pretty sure this is the potato-based religion from that "SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT" episode of rick and morty 😂
I was vegetarian for a few years and gained weight due to the amount of carbs I was eating. An omnivorous diet with very low carbs is def best for me.. And is closest to what our ancestors ate.
**Are humans carnivores, omnivores, or herbivores?**
https://www.sinergiaanimalinternational.org/single-post/are-humans-carnivores
Unlike **obligate carnivores** like cats that depend entirely on meat for survival, humans show multiple biological traits that align more with herbivores:
- Our **physical features** include:
- Smaller mouths and fleshier lips
- Blunt, flat nails rather than sharp claws
- Teeth lacking carnivores' blade-like carnassials
- Jaw structure similar to herbivores
- Much weaker stomach acid (pH 4-5) compared to carnivores' highly acidic stomachs (pH 1 or less)
- Unlike true carnivores, humans face **significant limitations** with raw meat consumption:
- Careful selection and preparation is required
- Only certain cuts/types of meat can be safely eaten raw
- Special handling and sanitation practices are necessary
- Higher risk of parasites and bacterial infections remains
- Our **intestinal length** is 10-11 times our body length, matching herbivores (10-12 times), while carnivores have much shorter intestines (3-6 times body length)
Modern evidence shows:
- **79 million people** worldwide thrive on fully plant-based diets
- While some people adopt purely carnivorous diets for rapid weight loss, these diets lead to serious health issues including:
- Constipation from lack of fiber
- High cholesterol
- Increased heart disease risk
- General nutrient deficiencies
- Plant-based diets are associated with improved health and reduced risk of severe illness
Beyond human health, **billions of animals** are slaughtered prematurely each year after lives filled with suffering. Choosing a plant-based diet benefits not only human health but also animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
#IKITAO #GoVegan
No big surprise that we're built like omnivores/herbivores. I've never seen a monkey eating a steak.
I've been a bitcoiner for *quite* some time, and even I held some doge in 2021. Felt good to get rid of it.
Don't forget that some nodes are self-hosted, but connect via a cloud VPS. This would look the same as a cloud node, but is very different.
Has anyone done the math to show what the "real" US income tax rates are, if you take the inflation rate and just tack that on to the existing rate?
In other words, take the invisible tax and consolidate it with the visible tax.
Somebody should tell these devs about #nostr and bitcoin..
