WhatsApp end to end encryption is qustionable at best, but more likely one of the people in the chat was either forced or voluntarily showed authorities
A leaky database spilled 2FA codes for the world’s tech giants
"...the technology company left one of its internal databases exposed to the internet without a password, allowing anyone to access the sensitive data inside using only a web browser, just with knowledge of the database’s public IP address."
One more example of how people are usually the weakest link in pentesting and cybersecurity.

Financial and phone carrier providers should really start giving the option of using something like Aegis instead of SMS for 2fa. Huge security issue
I think a lot of that has to do with education. People aren't taught about personal finance or money in school. Also, in 2007 who would've thought Apple was going to do so well?
The bigger problem I think is why couldn't people just save their money instead of buying stock in a business they barely understand? Most gains of apple, and all the other FAANG companies, are just people blindly dcaing into their 401k and hoping it goes up. They're only doing that because their money is shit
Bitcoin is important but I think personal finance is something we should focus on teaching the ritual IPhone buyers. If people can't learn to save, they aren't going to do well when they invest. Doesn't help that kids are getting phones when they're turn 5 and then brainwashed into lifelong consumers of these tech products.
People need to be taught personal finance before they could ever hope to benefit from saving in assets. Gotta get people out of that consumer mindset that's been beaten into us since we were kids
Good morning world! 😃☕️

Good morning! ☕
Its well worth the read! However its slowly becoming non fiction as more time passes by
If you have no experience at all opening channels I'd start with Blixt or Zeus [embedded node] to get a feel for it. These aren't for routing, but for spending and receiving. They're a good place to start for beginners who want to get started with running a node. It'll teach you about liquidity and fees. Btc Sessions has some good tutorials if you do end up wanting to run a routing node. Feel free to ask questions!
Stay humble, stack sats. Nothings changed
Alrighty, so https://matrix.org it is for me! Simplex drains battery. Signal, I dunno
Hey, talk to me on Element: https://matrix.to/#/@avichand:matrix.org

Something wrong with signal? Matrix is super clunky for me and doesn't the server store a lot of metadata?
This would work as well! Imo Liquid is more secure since it requires more custodians to rug so that may be a better way of achieving privacy. I'd only send 1 million sats or more to cold storage and I would feel more comfortable with Liquids security model rather than with ecash that has a single anon custodian

Everything we were told growing up isn't working. Luckily with Bitcoin we can opt out of this broken system

They somehow convinced us all as kids that getting into debt was a good thing, that college debt and mortgage debt are "good" debts. Between just those two types of debts one could work the rest of their life and never be able to pay them off. You become a literal slave in the system where you can't do anything but work and never actually own anything. Bitcoin fixes this

Nice! Is this similar to Brave's adblocker?
Nice! What software do you use to record/mix? I just started getting into recording and have been trying out free software like Audacity
