For us the key was:

- consistent bedtime routine

- short breastfeeding when waking up at night

- white noise (low volume radio static)

- lots of activities when awake, baby swimming almost always resulted in a good night's sleep

I’ve been radicalized

- to think that having kids and prioritizing raising and providing for my family is the most important thing in life

- to think that money separate from the state is the way at it always should have been

- to think that privacy is not a crime, and “none of your business” should be the default

- to think critically, and call most of politics what it is - bullshit and not to be trusted

- to pursue living as self-sovereignly as possible, and build communities that emphasize this

So yeah, I’ve been “radicalized”

I'm in talks with the owner of a small house with a large garden who might rent me her house in the middle of nowhere for really cheap. In return I’d be allowed (but not required to!) learn to fix up some stuff and do maintenance. She’s heavily into DIY and doesn’t care much about perfection, especially on the first try.

I could basically do whatever I want there, unless it’d ruin existing parts of nature (so no cutting down trees, no non-organic fertilzers, stuff I wouldn’t want to do anyways).

Currently waiting for some pictures of the inside since she’s no longer living in Germany and a friend of her’s is taking care of it for now who is currently on vacation.

If it doesn’t show obvious signs of mold or decay that I could never dream of fixing myself, I’ll definitely see it in person soon.

I've been here since 2023. Primal shows 1500 followers, amethyst shows 800, daily interactions are basically the same dozen people.

Quality matters more than quantity so none of those numbers concern me. I'm happy with my experience here so I stay.

I see people arguing the assumption that companies need more followers, but I also see small businesses and artists who committed to this platform saying a year here got them as many or more sales than a decade on Xitter.

Follower counts are BS when they are all bots and inactive accounts, which they are on both networks. Lazy fiat spreadsheet brain makes people obsessed with a number that means nothing while they ignore a real quality difference that is hard to quantify.

Capital allocation is easy now: stack sats and chill.

Time allocation? That’s the real game.

AI is coming fast. In 10 years, most mental jobs could be gone.

The smart move? Prioritize time like it's your most scarce asset.

Play, build, lift, love, be present.

Raise kids who dance, explore, and aren’t trained to be worker drones.

If I’m wrong, I’ll still have lived a beautiful life.

The single family home, stay at some Mother set up is an anomaly for humanity. It's unnatural, generally not very healthy, and serves to hold women back from being full participants in the world.

This does not mean that I think anyone who is or has done this is a bad person. Not at all. Quite a lot of people have chosen this because it was a solution that matched the logistics of the time and place there were living. I chose this setup for that reason for years.

No doubt for some people this is an optimal situation. But now with more education and perspective, I can see that for most people, the world would be a better more healthy place if we changed the logistics that make this such a prominent setup.

PSA: My quality of life significantly improved the day I removed myself from Bitcoin Twitter and shut down my X account.

You think you’re disciplined….until a baby humbles every system you had.

There is this idea, and some experiments to back it up, that 80-90% of the population will just go along with what they are told and don’t pay attention to the world. They will all push the button that they are told to push. They will believe what they are told to believe. And then people expand from that to say that society is doomed, or that people must be controlled or manipulated. Or they use this bit of data to feel superior. Or say that the world can only be saved by this 10%. There is some truth here, but it’s more complicated.

I think about it this way… most of us spend most of our time existing in that NPC 90%. We can’t be experts on everything, we can’t pay attention to everything. We just don't have enough time and energy for that. But, in some area of our lives, most of us also exist in that 10%.

So instead of thinking you are the elite 10%, or feeling bad about being the NPC 90%, know that you are both!

In some areas of life you just go with the flow, and in other areas you are an expert. Know which ones are which, and serve humanity by being that bold 10% in your area of expertise.
