You can lead a horse to water, can't make it drink. Show a person some bitcoin can't make them think. Bitcoin devotee, not just on Sundays!

Cameras and microphones

Watching and listening.

Attention of other humans is the goal. Giving everything to machines is just the by product.

Nostr is the girl. Bitcoin is the board.

They both don't give a f#*k about the rest of the world. They are just cruising and doing their thing, mesmerising millions along the way

Yo soy yo

Tu eres tu

Yo hago lo mΓo

Tu haces lo tuyo

Si nos coincidimos,

Que maravilloso

Si no,

No hay nada que hacer

Buenos dias

We are one tho, and more connected than we often realise.

Recently in a bank in central bangkok Thailand, I saw a little old lady who reached into her shopping bag and pull out bunch after bunch of neatly stacked and bundled notes. As the man behind the counter proceeded to dismantle the neat bundles and put them in the note machine counter, the old lady continued stacking more bundles on the counter.

There was over 100k USD there. No one flinched in the bank and I can only assume it was pretty normal. The lady runs a gold business in chinatown. What dawned on me tho was how long it had been since I had seen these amount a of cash. I used to manage a busy department store which we regularly had to count tens of thousands in the till. Cash = financial freedom/privacy to some extent and it seems to me we are much closer to losing it than we may realise in europe and north america.

Try banking 100k in cash in most western places and the police likely get called!!

The human journey has always been a testament to resilience. Our history is marked with chaos, triumph, defeat, and redemption. This gives credence to the adage that truth, hope, and freedom are not mere concepts, but fundamental tenets of our existence.

The fact that "truth prevails over lies" hinges on our inherent desire for authenticity. People naturally gravitate towards truth because it forms the bedrock of trust and social cohesion. Over time, lies are unveiled and truth emerges, perhaps because reality has a knack for asserting itself, and humans have an innate propensity to seek it. The truth might be inconvenient, temporarily hidden or distorted, but its inherent magnetism means that over the long haul, it rises above the falsehoods.

When we say "hope prevails over fear," we acknowledge our species' unyielding optimism. Hope is the spark that drives progress, the light that guides us through the tunnel of uncertainty. Fear, on the other hand, is paralyzing and stifling. While fear might have a louder voice in the short term, it's hope that sings the longer, more enduring melody. This is because hope ties into our survival instinct, our drive to improve, and our vision for a better future.

As for the assertion that things that try to control us eventually fail, this is the manifestation of our inborn quest for freedom. The human spirit is fundamentally irrepressible. Any attempts to curtail it, whether by oppressive regimes or overbearing ideologies, can only prevail temporarily. Over time, this desire for freedom pushes back against the constraints, often leading to transformative societal changes.

In essence, these beliefs reflect our deep-seated faith in the human condition - a faith rooted in our collective experiences and instincts as a species. We've seen that the arc of the human story, while often circuitous and tumultuous, tends towards authenticity, optimism, and liberty. It may be messy, it may take time, but this progression seems almost hardwired into our very being.

His does AI and truth feed into this?

For the most part I agree with all the above that humans always gravitate towards truth, hope and freedom. Its within all we do and construct in society. But I do wonder if someone in north Korea would say the same

nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z was looking into decentralised healthcare data. I'd happily contribute blood tests and some data. I'm sure most would for the greater good. Imagine plugging in AI and opening the data up. Thats at the most basic level.

After going to the Dr recently and bewildered by the lack of knowledge, I'm confident that I'd trust an AI more for suggestions on where to look for managing my own health at a basic level when the need arises.

But what if the 'truth' can be changed on scales never seen before? AI and moderation somewhat does that convincingly. Of course the 'truth' doesn't change (ie sky is blue for someone who has never seen a sunset/sunrise) but truth is both fact and perception.

I agree tho that truth has always prevailed in the past.

Before we start LARPing too much about how Nostr should take over the world and people should ditch other platforms, let’s acknowledge the fact that nostr:npub1wv79gfl4tn46qxs0vcr6kr73rqethvna0kchk4cw06mmdzsgrkdqmkxye0, one of the best MMA fighters of all time, is on Nostr. Most of you don’t follow her yet, even though she has been here for a while now.

I personally want to tell Cris, β€œthank you.” We appreciate her presence. There is no better proof of work than full-contact MMA.

In order for Nostr to grow, it can’t just be bitcoiner techies. It has to be others too. I personally really like the MMA people but more broadly, we should reach out to non-techie people and actually appreciate it when they decide to care about decentralized money and communication.

Thank you Cris, for caring about decentralization and proof of work.

Big up to you Cris and solid shout out Lyn.

Lyn, wonder if you could feature a non-bitcoiner on nostr regularly (weekly??). Might be a good thing to do for diversity. I'd do it but noone would take note! 😜

Just unsubscribed from Twitter Blue.

Everything nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx keeps telling us about that service is true.

It's deeply disturbing.

Nostr and Bitcoin are our hope people!

🀘 good vibes right here

I'm thinking orbs will be a real hit with nostr users
