#diy #solar #grownostr can anyone recommend a kit to power a 24w pond pump during the day?
Is it as simple as setting up a solar panel, charge controller, inverter, plugged to your pond pump?
Any kit recommendations? Never done it before, would love to expand the homestead (backup power for window AC and fridge in times of trouble).
The pond pump seems like an easy first project. Picture of the pump. I have 3 running currently on mechanical timers, great pumps.

I've only had the best damned #Biochar kiln for 2 freekin years.
I figured it was about time to #build it!
thanks to nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n for the inspiration and looking forward to innoculate the biochar in both my compost and my worm bin.

Been using the same thing, works great, load it fast, I can usually do a burn in less then an hour. Once the fire dies down, fill that thing to the top with water.
I’ve been using a Wen wood chipper from Home Depot, $100 and is perfect. If the biochar is damp, less dust, wear a mask :)

#biochar #propagation #mulberry #grownostr both chunky and processed biochar propagate mulberry from the aquaponics system.
The plants should do great because they are bringing along life captured by the biochar.

#biochar #garden #grownostr Wen wood chipper with another round of biochar pulverized. I can get about 5 gallons of biochar in about 15 minutes. I’ll use damp biochar, I’ll scrape the inside halfway though. Working great. My primary use is in the worm bin, then to garden.

Do you think if you started with crappy bulk compost, that you could shorten the time with this bioreactor setup?
Thanks, i might start layering cardboard on top, I’ll poke holes to allow water through, but we always have plenty of cardboard boxes.

Glad I was listening to your show, Seattle was crazy central, I have two brothers. One that did listen to TSP one did not. The one that didn’t got one shot, now his body doesn’t make testosterone. Just last week I had to remind my kids Covid was a bioweapon, just freaking nuts.
#grownostr #bioreactor #compost my bioreactor video. I’m pleasantly surprised at how many compost worms are still alive. There is a good amount of fire ants around the system.
Maybe the bioreactor is just a great outdoor compost worm bin.
Ask the lads trimming the trees around powerlines if they could drop off a load of mulch. Will be great compost in a few months.

Check out Johnson su bioreactor. Best compost possible. Landscape fabric, wire fence, 5-6’ circle, water daily. Put in compost worms, 4 inch pipes. You can remove pipes when everything is settled.

In this episode we were joined Sam Benowitz founder of Raintree Nursery with us to discuss unique & unusual plants and trees from all over the world to discover lost varieties.
We also discussed 9 unique edible plants that most Americans have never tried and many have never ever heard of.
I feel my wallet draining already
Not sure, maybe to reduce water evaporation or something. I’m down in Texas so we are already hitting 80-90. Overnight of 70 or so.
I always go back and forth between sprinkler, drip, other.
#leucaena #garden #grownostr the leaves on this tree will close at night, cool!

What type of drip line will you use? It’s been super bad air quality over here as well.
I’ll have to try some
What do you do with the flower? I have a bunch right now as well.
