Agree - podcasts are hot. Unfortunately the RSS dissemination was captured by Spotify and Apple. Podcast 2.0 lead the way with V4V with apps like Fountain. #Nostr will be the next step in freeing podcasts, leveraging the network effect, being compensated (zaps) and if need be, anon. zap.stream is a great first step in this direction.

I am a "boomer" I keep getting asked if I want to play pickleball.
First off, I hate the name...
More importantly, the ball and racket are like finger nails on a chalkboard.
There's nothing satisfying from the racket/ball response. It's like catching a dead fish.
Give me Newton's third law, with the powerful feeling of racket strings on a rubber object. Tennis, Racquet Ball, Squash, Badminton. Ping-pong is the exception due to the ultra light weight ball.
Sound plays a roll too. I think that's why there's so many complaints around pickleball courts. The sound sucks!
Pickleball is for seed-oil eating geriatrics with arthritic knees.

It's not even belief, it's ambivalence. They've stopped learning. The critical thinking muscle atrophies and psycosclerosis (a hardening of the attitudes) ensues. I meet boomers (I'm of that vintage) all the time who have decidedly made up their minds based on misinformation from their past. Asking them to question these "beliefs" is goring their sacred cows. I no longer engage, there is no point. As for confirmation bias through their chosen media, the parroting has become my entertainment. When I hear the narrative repeated verbatim, I laugh, nod my head and excuse myself from the conversation.
Suffice it to say, I don't hang out with many folks my own age.

Do you ever feel like you're being tested by Universe? Tested for strength, stamina, mental clarity, resolve... that kind of stuff? I often do. There is a reason for this test but it isn't obvious, at least not until later in hind sight.
Today is one of those days.
After arriving back from a magnificent month in Eastern Europe (Nostriga, HB24) and visiting by car, 4 Baltic states And with the jet lag finally lifting, the routine begins... without my luggage/cases 😬
All 4 of 4 bags/cases were lost. It's been 60+ hours thus far. A call this morning was reason for optimism. 1 bag was found and delivered. I'm thankful. The other 3 have highly valuable contents and still no clue as to where in the world they might be.
I've heard horror stories of bags being sold to wholesale liquidators within days of being lost but I can't let myself go black. I've got to keep positive.
So I'm going to my favorite beach in the entire world, Wreck Beach - Vancouver, in 32C degree sunshine. I'm grateful for the day, the things that really matter (loved ones and health) and I'll let Universe deliver it's ultimate purpose in this challenge. For now, my test is over, I'll not be brought down in spirit by things that are out of my control. Thank you Universe for this clarity 🙏
