Weird. OK, maybe a bad take since I've never attended college - but I've read nearly a dozen Bitcoin related book and this was the only one that was so torturous to digest that I gave up at chapter 8 - and can't recall anything beyond the forward. ... but hey, whatever, I'm a degenerate.
The forward by Alex was great. The rest was so full of academic speak that it was like getting teeth pulled.
Just the ability to run my own #Primal client on my own nodes. Now @mynodebtc has an #Astral client app and @Start9 has #Iris. Both also have the option to install your own internal private relay app.
Thanks for this. I'm still quite amazed at the feed difference between each client and spend too much time trying to figure out what relays to use. Many clients won't even show nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m on my feeds lately. #Primal & #Amethyst have the most complete feeds. When Primal client for nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll or nostr:npub1r29mgme6rnyj5sljdnerfty9ewwnj2nje76d0qqyhvt0wkhncxvsyc23pd ???
I switch between #Primal, #Snort, and #Iris.
I'm quite surprised in the difference in the feed performance between each client.

Bass is the place.

ugh.... i have SimpleX installed on the droid and connected to my own server (Start9) - but damn - After getting all my friends and family to switch to Signal over the years - This would be a heavy lift. Now if we could integrate something into Noster (like nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5 has been discussing) that would be a much easier sell.
my bathroom after too much habanero.

Latest highly entertaining move was BlackBerry.
The last 'great' movie? Probably way back to Idiocracy.
and to add - #Start9 Embassy has a #SimpleX Server app - it was pretty easy to set up. very cool to be able to setup a sovereign communication app without using someone else's centralized server and without revealing any personal information (#,email, etc).
the drummer in this vid was in a rad band in pdx called Hitting Birth in the 90's - Saw them open up for Nirvana in a tiny club called Satyricon on NYE 1990.
