Tantrums are 100% learned behaviors

I think childless people have an unbiased perspective which is valuable. When I watch a spoiled child throw a tantrum, it’s obvious to me how the child was conditioned to behave that way. The parent denies the kid something and it cries. Parent feels bad and gives the kid the toy. The kid just learned a pattern. Next time the kid does it again and it works. Next time the parent says no and is firm on that position. The kid cries more intensely. Parent freaks out because the intensity is new to them so they give in. Now the kid learned to raise the intensity. It’s like the experiment that was done on rats where they were conditioned to press a lever for cocaine. Before that behavior can be eliminated, it intensifies. The rats would smash the lever repeatedly. That’s when parents usually fail and they fail because they’re emotional when they see their child cry. Raising a child isn’t very different from raising a dog. Keep in mind that ALL behavior is learned. A child screeching and kicking at the store for a toy is not instinctual. A parent may not see how they are training their child to behave that way and most other parents have kids that do similar things. That’s why getting advice from non parents can be very helpful.

Of the four Pierce Brosnan Bond movies, the first one was great (Goldeneye, so good), the second one was decent (Tomorrow Never Dies actually has a lot of relevance today, as it's about the control of corporate media with misinformation, which is rather prescient for 1997), and the final two were bad.

Of the five Daniel Craig Bond movies, I differ a bit from the consensus. The consensus is that the first (Casino Royale) and third (Skyfall) were great, but that the second, Quantum of Solace, was the worst and the others were okay.

However, while I do think the first Craig movie (Casino Royale) was great, and Skyfall was the second best, I think Quantum of Solace as the second movie was underwhelming but not bad. It was kind of that middle-of-trilogy vibe. I rate it above the consensus. The true catastrophe of this series, which I rate below the consensus, was actually the fourth movie Spectre. Utterly awful in terms of plot, especially given Bond's greatest villain Blofeld played by Waltz, which is such a strong casting. They fucked the whole story up and it made no sense. Bond literally walked into the evil headquarters with no plan, and got captured. And then when the villain is drilling into his head to erase his memories, it just randomly didn't work, and he broke free via bad narrative. Made absolutely no sense. People were too accepting of it because they liked Waltz on screen and he distracts them from how weak his character was and how bad the plot was. And Blofeld was way too obsessive with Bond. Cool villains aren't as obsessive as that. And then the fifth one was solid and partially salvaged the catastrophe that was Spectre. Kind of mediocre like Quantum of Solace, but with a solid and surprising climax to the series, which elevated and completed it.

So, the smaller the list the better.

Your app should have an additional setting, separate from the Inbox/outbox setup, where you can add extra relays to save your posts, in addition to the inbox and outbox relays.

So, if you want to send/receive to 30 relays... fine. But don't ask your followers to download/send from 30 relays for each person they follow.

Unpopular opinion:

It makes no sense to delete Twitter in order to grow Nostr. Growing Nostr makes Nostr grow, not the shrinking of another platform.

NOSTR exclusive content is helpful for growth as is the sharing of NOSTR exclusive content outside of NOSTR.

Deleting Twitter is just virtue signaling, not something that is helpful for growing the Nostr network.
